He didn't say Coughlin's name but he lowered the boom on the current coach being inexperienced and that showing up as a big weakness, yes.Just got in- did he mention the absence of Tom Coughlin's experience versus a rookie HC?
Agreed. This was like a teaching moment more than a woodshed. He sounds more disappointed then angry. Not bad, but he only had a moment or two where he sounded mental. I think if this was the Jets, and OBJ played for them, he'd have taken it to the limit.
He had more drops than some guys had in a career"When does Beckham start to get criticized? He had more drops yesterday than he should have in a year."
Exactly: not a father yelling at his son for doing something stupid, rather a father calmly yet dejectedly letting a son know he's disappointed with himAgreed. This was like a teaching moment more than a woodshed. He sounds more disappointed then angry.
It's amazing to me. The offense was pretty bad all year. They were carried by their defense. The Giants haven't made the playoffs before this year since 2011. Some of that has to fall on Eli, doesn't it?Eli getting a pass today as usual. Like clockwork.
Eli, being the QB, leader, 2 Ring holder, elder statesman, etc., should in theory also be the guy who is supposed to keep Beckham in line and hold him responsible for drops. Nope, Mike blamed it all on the coach with Eli getting a free pass. It's amazing to me. The offense was pretty bad all year. They were carried by their defense. He brought it up and said it was unverified about 10 times.Wonder if FF brings up the fact the Giants trashed the plane last night.
He also failed to mention what else was in the article describing what happened on the plane. Then he said he didn't know what happened. He brought it up and said it was unverified about 10 times.

"Eli, how are ya doing today?"Also he has Eli on at 5:05 today. The line of questioning to him will be interesting.
Possible: Funhouse feed has reports of Mike getting his teams/games/situations mixed up today.Only half listening, but I'm pretty sure Mike just confused George Karl with Jerry Sloan, to his face. Interested to see if callers get on him coming up.
W/r/t trashing the plane? The end of the McAdoo interview was nauseating. Listening to him say "we know Coach we put that rumor to bed" and "we know that's not the way The Giants do business" just confirms his water carrying for the franchise. If that were the Jets or Pats he'd be all over that story.
Only heard it for 15 minutes this AM, but Boomer and Carton were really downplaying the incident, saying that social media was the source for all this disinformation, and that eyewitness and official reports didnt back up the rumors/scuttlebutt: doing actual damage to the cabin vs making a huge mess; the airline sending in a repair crew vs sending in an inadequate number of cleaning people. Also made the point that, to their knowledge, the NFL has prohibited alcohol on team flights, so it's not fair for anyone to imply over imbibement was an issue.Yes.
You don’t need municipalities in this day and age where they can’t even pay for the pensions of their workers in most of these cities. You don’t need them making the NFL richer.
So the idea that the NFL should ever, when they use a stadium 10 to 12 times a season, that they should ever, ever, act like they have the right to dip into a city’s coffers for a dime is a disgrace. It’s an utter disgrace. There should be laws against it. That’s how outrageous it is.
The Giants Way is to sign the classiest spousal abuser to be your kicker and then toss him under the bus when there's too much blowbackI don't really get why fans would care if their team lost and then trashed the plane. If my team did that, at least I'd think they cared about losing the game. I didn't know there was "A Giants Way."
