I think he's problem solving too. There is too much depth and there were rumbling of players being unhappy with playing time or being in the minors.Cashman is clearing a lot of depth, quickly. So he has to have something big coming
I can't disagree... guess Cashman thinks Lynn for Gray is a wash and they'll restock the farm a bit with GrayLynn is only under contract this year, really makes zero sense unless they are trading Gray.
Gray is under contract for next season and not good, clearing his 2019 roster spot would be very helpful IMO, and I think he can get a good return right now (not necessarily this winter, teams are semi-desperate right now).I can't disagree... guess Cashman thinks Lynn for Gray is a wash and they'll restock the farm a bit with Gray
Or it frees Gray up in an Archer trade. This should take us out of the Archer running, thank goodness.
This may also put them right up against the $197m threshold.
I don't think it does. There are 6 starters right now who need to start.Or it frees Gray up in an Archer trade.
They would still have six SPs then, not counting Cessa or Sheffield. I don't think Archer was ever happening.Or it frees Gray up in an Archer trade.
The Twins are paying half the money left, when you deduct Warren's salary, I don't think they went up too much overall. This may also put them right up against the $197m threshold.
I had to look this up as it seemed way too high. He has pitched in 24 postseason games, but only 7 starts (still a good amount). 10 of those 24 were out of the bullpen in 2011.Ron Darling did bring up a point about Lynn's playoff experience, 24 starts (not that he'd be starting)

Miss the part about 17 of his 24 postseason games being as a reliever?Lance Lynn can play OF?
