I still haven't figured out how BROCKHOLT fits on this team better than Marrero. Even if/when he's fully healthy, his skill set is nearly identically redundant to Nunez's (let alone Swihart's, Lin's, or Hernandez's). The only thing he really offers is that he bats left handed, except neither he nor Nunez have a large split over their careers. And with a Hanley/Moreland tandem at 1B, Holt is, at best, third up to be a PH on any given day. Coupled with the fact that Holt is making $1M+ more this year, I don't see how keeping him over Marrero's defense at the two positions where it's weakest on the team made any sense.
