Yeah. Just two or three more days for a while.I love baseball.
He's a beautiful man.Papi needs someone to dress him. That suit is terrible.
He is but the suit isn’t. Someone needs to call Giorgio Armani. He's a beautiful man.
yeah, it was a bit of a joke. Better to give up a solo HR after getting two outs, like Jansen, than not get anyone out, like Giles.I'm trying to think through the playoffs. Has any closer truly been lights out? I guess Chapman
No, but there is some truth to it. He's given up a homer in each of his last two outings, with last game's homer being huge. He's still formidable, but he's lost the air of infallibility.yeah, it was a bit of a joke. Better to give up a solo HR after getting two outs, like Jansen, than not get anyone out, like Giles.
Agreed. After game 2, nobody's going to walk away from these games early. I had that feeling tonight as well. No, but there is some truth to it. He's given up a homer in each of his last two outings, with last game's homer being huge. He's still formidable, but he's lost the air of infallibility.
He blew the one game to Houston where Altuve scored from first to win 2-1, but they're still alive there if Sanchez holds the ball and makes the tag (Correa on second, two outs).I'm trying to think through the playoffs. Has any closer truly been lights out? I guess Chapman
Go for it.As a Red Sox fan who has a soft spot for the Dodgers because of my dad who died 21 years ago, anyone mind if I start the game 5 thread, too?
Keep in mind, this is a guy who was an All-Star in 2015, who was sent to the minors this year to clear space on the roster for Curtis Granderson. He was left off the NLDS roster. He never complained at all. He took on the roll of cheerleader and never said a word about his playing time.I like the Dodgers, but Pederson seems like he'd be easy to hate.
I have nothing against any of the celebrating, but I say that as someone who hates every unwritten rule in every sport. It's undoubtedly irrational, but something about him bugged me even back in 2015. But it's not enough to keep me from rooting for the Dodgers. My grandfather took me to a game in Dodger stadium back in the 70's and I've had a bit of a soft spot for them since then.Keep in mind, this is a guy who was an All-Star in 2015, who was sent to the minors this year to clear space on the roster for Curtis Granderson. He's been through some adversity, so I cut him a little slack when he celebrates hitting a huge bomb in the postseason.
To be clear, I don't have any issue when the Astros celebrate big plays...until they do it and then complain when the other team does it. Say what you want about the Dodgers showing emotion, but every player asked had no issue with the Astros celebrating in game 2 and 3. When Houston goes nuts for their big plays but then complain about LA showing emotion in big moments...come on, man.
