That's a bullshit penalty on Wingels too.  It wasn't a hook, the Kings player grabbed Wingels' stick on his way down.  Not that it really matters.
 
The only choke the Sharks haven't pulled in the last decade is blowing the 3-0.  They come close a couple years ago against Detroit but won game 7 at home.  Odds are very good it happens Wednesday.

San Jose nearly pissed away a 3-0 lead a few years ago in Detroit before winning game 7 on home ice. Let's see if they do it again. 
 
The big question is who do you put in net. Niemi has been shaky, and even though Stalock played pretty well tonight, they didn't really get the desired affect. Tough spot for McLellan.

They just extended everyone's contracts this year.  Thornton, Marleau, Burns, Pavelski, Couture, and Vlasic are all under contract through 2017.  Boyle is the only major UFA this year and he's not coming back unless he takes a huge pay cut.  They might shop Niemi but his salary is reasonable and his deal only has one more year on it.  For better or worse, they're bringing back the same core next year.

No way.  Thornton's not been the problem.  Couture has totally disappeared in this series and they don't have the horses on D to match up with the Kings' forecheck, especially without Vlasic (by far their best D-man).  The goaltending has been pretty mediocre too.

Gotta be uncomfortable for San Jose. Letting a 3-0 lead slip away and having to play a game 7 is bad enough. Throw in the goalie on the other side is capable of beating you even if you play your A game.

For a forum that used to provide itself on having a thick skin and giving each other good natured shit, we as a forum have gotten awful whiny lately.

FaH had a good burn, Ed Hillel's was good right back, and FaH responded back in kind. In the game thread. Lighten up or I'm going to be forced to make you do a shot of Jameson as punishment.
