Let's discuss all of the Western conference games in here. If volume gets to be a lot, we can split into separate threads.

Intriguing series here. Dallas is a very young team with some great high-end talent. On the other side, Boudreau teams have traditionally been regular season juggernauts that have flamed out early on in the playoffs. Bruce has never won a second round series. Also, despite being the 1-seed out West, most of the advanced metrics don't particularly like the Ducks. They're very middle of the road by the possession stats, so we'll see what happens to them.

Good start for the Ducks though, already up 2-0.

I love seeing any team with Lindy Ruff, Erik Cole, and Antoine Roussel lose.

Pure domination by Anaheim

I believe it's Butch Goring.

Also, that was the strangest commercial break interview with Ruff that I've ever seen. The reporter might as well have muttered "...you're full of shit, Lindy."

Miller looked horrible on the Kane goal. He didn't react whatsoever to the shot.

.903 save percentage in St. Louis for Miller. Fleury-esque .571 in that period.

Meanwhile, Halak had a .930 save percentage with the Capitals.

Because he demanded a trade or threatened go back overseas after Savard incorrectly blamed him post game and they went at it in the locker room over the too many men in game 7 against Philly in 2010.

Wow. I'd never heard that before. He's turned into a real good player, probably could have used him.

Big flurry by Chicago right now.

Edit: No idea how St. Louis didn't score on that scramble in front. And now Sobotka with the over-the-glass penalty. The really need to rip this rule up.

Blues kill off the delay of game penalty.

Elsewhere, San Jose is up 3-0 in the first. That's a bit of a stunner.
