That's an interesting take. Especially when he wins multiple MVPs in his career.Giannis is the least skilled MVP of the modern era.
He's an upper-middle-class man's Semi Ojeleye.Crowder when he gets the basketball is like Chara when he gets the puck.
Shaq?Giannis is the least skilled MVP of the modern era.
He's the most dominant player the in the league and deserving of his MVPs. I still think his footwork, shooting, passing, and handle are mediocre. That's an interesting take. Especially when he wins multiple MVPs in his career.
I get that he is an athletic level above but you don't think his two step from halfcourt drives and glides to the hoop don't involve a lot of footwork and skill? He's the most dominant player the in the league and deserving of his MVPs. There's a good Greece joke here but I can't find it.top of the ESPN and NBA.com website crawl:

Actual result: Bucks 130, Heat 116.
I blame @scottyno .
Giannis is the least skilled MVP of the modern era.
Other than Durant, and maybe Dirk, Giannis is more skilled than any other MVP in league history who was 6-10 or taller.Giannis is incredibly skilled but he’s so unskilled at one of the most fundamental basketball skills, shooting, that it makes him seem less skilled than he really is, if that makes any sense. Clanging FTs in clutch situations when your entire offensive game is driving to the basket is a problem.
But will he EARRNNN them? That's an interesting take. Especially when he wins multiple MVPs in his career.
To me he seems to be completely out of control a lot and if he wasn't GA he'd get called for a lot more travels and offensive fouls IMO and wouldn't get bailed out as often when he's out of control and misses layups or creates the contact. But his drives on the fast break are very effective. If you can stay in front of his body.. like Smart does.. he has a lot of problems. It's hard to do though because his steps are so long. He's the most dominant player the in the league and deserving of his MVPs. I still think his footwork, shooting, passing, and handle are mediocre.
McHale?Other than Durant, and maybe Dirk, Giannis is more skilled than any other MVP in league history who was 6-10 or taller.
I do not know what skills you are referring to, (I suspect the argument here is athleticism, but I don't know) but KAJ at 7' 2"and with IIRC 6 MVPs and Olajuwon at 7" with one, (but playing in the era of Bird, Magic and MJ) were pretty skilled players, and IMO Greek Freak ain't them, yet.Other than Durant, and maybe Dirk, Giannis is more skilled than any other MVP in league history who was 6-10 or taller.
Turned it on as OKC made it 88-80 them. Now an 18-4 run for Houston including a pretty harsh T on Chris Paul protesting a charge call.OKC could well force a Game 7 here.
Giannis is a better shooter and ball-handler than Kareem or Olajuwon were, and probably a better passer too. We remember those guys as skilled because most of their contemporaries couldn’t do much outside the paint.I do not know what skills you are referring to, (I suspect the argument here is athleticism, but I don't know) but KAJ at 7' 2"and with IIRC 6 MVPs and Olajuwon at 7" with one, (but playing in the era of Bird, Magic and MJ) were pretty skilled players, and IMO Greek Freak ain't them, yet.
McHale is 6’10” and was certainly highly skilled but he never won an MVP.McHale?
Guess I don't understand what people mean by "skilled." BTW, GA's footwork is incredible for a big man but so was Kevin's.
Good point.McHale is 6’10” and was certainly highly skilled but he never won an MVP.
It was a different game, but I think you are severely undervaluing how skilled those guys were. Both were hugely dominant all-time great low-post players and Olajuwon may have been the 2nd best defensive center in NBA history. Both would be dominant today. GF is a great player, (his 3 pt shot is below average) but I do not think he's as good as either one of those guys. Maybe he will be one day, but he isn't now.Giannis is a better shooter and ball-handler than Kareem or Olajuwon were, and probably a better passer too. I’d rate Kareem the third-best player in the history of the game, so this is certainly not a knock on him. It was just a different game in those days.
Early and mid-career, too. He’s a dirty little bastard, but so tough, skilled, and clutch. Reminds me a ton of Stockton.Late career CP3 is joy
I mean, there are 7-turnover games ... and then there are the insane passes he flung all over the court tonight, mostly unforced. I expect him to brick shots, but not sure I’ve ever seen him brick that many passes.Too many smart people in here to clog this thread with memes. But if you need a good laugh, there are some great Westbrook ones going around right now.
okay, maybe just one.Too many smart people in here to clog this thread with memes. But if you need a good laugh, there are some great Westbrook ones going around right now.
Budenholzer made zero adjustments when the Celtics beat the Bucks 2 seasons ago because he was the coach of the Hawks. Joe Prunty was Bucks head coach in that series and is now out of the league.Budenholzer didn't make adjustments when Cs beat the 2 seasons ago.
I prefer this homebaked one...I love you guys. Live look at me in the 4th

Lost in Dame's shot last year was a virtuoso Westbrook 4q that snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. D'Antoni cant afford another flame out, gotta get that ball out his hands in the 4th
I must have missed something, what did I do?There's a good Greece joke here but I can't find it.
That explains it!Budenholzer made zero adjustments when the Celtics beat the Bucks 2 seasons ago because he was the coach of the Hawks. Joe Prunty was Bucks head coach in that series and is now out of the league.
Junk highlights packages had kluged together playoff game 6 with the ending from a regular season game, and that messed me up when comparing to the reported result, because Who Does That, and so I figured (wrongly) that a stat stringer had messed up in recording the final result for the NBA somewhere along the line.I must have missed something, what did I do?
