I mean, their point differential comes from getting housed by 3 teams that most people see as top 5 in the NFL (NE, DEN, MIN) they are -63 in those 3 loses and won their other five by a plus 33 including wins over the other 2 contenders in the division.
The Texans aren't particularly good, and it is most notable against top tier teams, but they are probably still the best team in that division.
They're not the same since Watt got hurt, but you're right that they still might be the best team in that crappy division.

That really was bizarre play calling. That throw by Dak though it why I bet Tony Romo will be the starter next week against Cleveland. That was unforgivable on the goal line.
I feel like Dallas has also gone almost exclusively to a shotgun snap. And I think it affects their running game. The only real running play they can use from the gun is the read option, and I don't think Elliott finds the holes as easily as he does when Prescott comes back from under center, and he has lead blockers, pulling guards, etc. In the 1st quarter, I thought Dak was under center quite a bit, and Elliott had 40 yards in the quarter, and since then, he's basically been bottled up with these shotgun looks. I don't understand why teams find something that works, and then go away from it. Yeah, the read option worked when Dak ran in the first td, but their bread and butter is a ground game behind that offensive line. Give Zeke a fullback, get in the I formation, and pound it down Philly's throats.

Those last two throws by Dak....

If there was any doubt left about who is starting next week, I think it's gone. Number 9 will be back under center for Dallas.

This game isn't over yet. If Dak leads them back to win the game, I'm saying he's starting next week.
I don't think they will even if they win. He's really lucky he doesn't have about 4 turnovers tonight. He's been awful.

You might be right. I think it would take a pretty special 4th quarter though. Like 3 TDs or something.

Dak obviously reacted poorly to an extra week of Romo talk and him coming back to practice for one day...I can only imagine how bad he'd be with Romo having a full week and even more talk.

No balls by Pederson there. Your kicker drilled a 55 yarder at the half. Try the 53 yarder to make it two possessions there. Weak.

What a dumb hold. Elliott was already long gone.
IMO, that's the kind of a rule change that would help the NFL. The penalties are getting out of control, so why not stop calling penalties for holding, etc. when they are clearly behind the play/away from the ball/have no affect on the play, etc. I'm not saying that hold was one of them, but some of these off-the-ball penalties are getting out of control, and if they have no affect on the outcome of a play, let them go once in a while.

Pederson deserves all of the shit he gets if they lose this game for not going for the field goal on the last drive. Instead of letting their guy, who is 3/3 from 50+ this year, to get a two score lead, he elects to have his punter come out and get him a 20 yard punt of field position that meant nothing.

The really bad ones are those illegal contact handchecks 50 yards away from the anywhere the play was ever going.

Of course illegal contact is just awful in general.

Don't know why they were trying to bomb it that whole series. A quick hitter or screen against that rush would have been huge.

Wow best running game in football 2 minutes and 3 timeouts to get 20 yards. Pass 3 times, punt.

I guess you blitz Dak Prescott. He looked clueless there.

Didn't even try to swipe for the ball. I mean, yeah, make sure you get the sack but shit, ball was right there.

Did Andy Reid get re-hired by the Eagles? What kind of clock management was that?

Oh wait, it was Reid's top LT that got hired. Now it makes sense.
