Was Oakland's D really championship caliber this year? I love Carr and the offense, but they needed to play better all 4 quarters on defense to get anywhere in the playoffs.

Please make the switch to the KC game, NBC! A million Heidis couldn't win this game for Oakland.

There's little to console you and your Raider Nation brethren about this ... other than to say it looks as though you're at the start of a terrific run.
Yes, gotta say this absolutely blows for Raiders fans...just no getting around it

Not even close but their offense with a healthy Carr, and King and Seabass were pretty darned scary

Why... in that Dodge ad where they say there's a place where Russia can definitely hear America... are they playing an Australian band?

That should be a first down. When half the distance keeps you from getting the first down it should count as a first down.

Tyreek Hill is more than a little scary. I can imagine him having a 4 td game and personally knocking a good team out. Biggest threat was his own guy knocking him out!

Scott Hanson just made me laugh out loud on RedZone. "you only get mentioned as a long snapper on NFL RedZone if you do something like that"

A well-coached team won't let him do that. Pats also have the best coverage unit in football, fortunately.

Ideal day for the Pats. Let's not punt to Hill, should it come to that.
The nice thing about BB as coach is you know he is going to kick away from him. He won't try to prove he can stop him, or any macho crap like that, he'll just stay far, far away if he can.

I could imagine him effectively spying him on offense---someone like Harmon (or perhaps even Ebner, more creatively) just sticking to him no matter the formation. If the other guys are going to beat them, so be it. Unconventional but so is the situation with KC

Aikman is really good. As soon as he pointed out that Reed had a favorable matchup, you knew that's where the ball would go.

Why is Eli Manning still playing? Had to hit the deck there to avoid getting mauled.

After today it seems most likely the Pats will see the Texans in the divisional round, with Pitt at KC

Is it really worth the risk that will continue in a meaningless game for them?
Yes. It's worth the risk. Keeps the players focused on football and winning. If Manning was made of glass like Gronk, you sit him obviously. But he doesn't get hurt. So play it through.
