I cannot stress how bad the coaching by KOC was late in this....

yes it's the Bears, but betting on any team not being able to get into FG range in 3 minutes without a timeout is dubious in the NFL. Betting on it by not trying to get the 5-7 yards you needed to get a FG of your own was INSANE.

No one listens to my idea to improve football:

kicks can only be made by the last player to touch the ball.

Teams should not be so reluctant to take a delay of game.

Anyway, so does that mean the Patriots are still the only team this year to lose when holding a team to 10?

Even after the forward pass really no reason not to keep trying — might luck into a defensive penalty like a face mask or something.

Ideal ending.

Bears win is good for the Patriots, and the final lateral play won me my fantasy matchup by 0.02 points

Chicago, so uh... feel free to not use the Panthers pick on a QB. Fields is um... good.
That wasn't my takeaway from my first full game exposure to Justin Fields in a while. If you don't trust your QB to throw passes past the line of scrimmage, you need a new QB. I fear the Bears are more likely to draft a QB and see what they can get for Fields.

But is it the play calling? He can make those throws. He has a terrible habit of going backwards to avoid pressure, but all the tools to get the ball down the field, into tight windows, etc.

This sounds rather like the discussions about Mac Jones's possibilities this season given better coaching. It would be professional malpractice for the Bears to bet on that outcome and pass on Williams.
