I mean, they give few fucks, say crazy dumb shit, and throw punches in bunches even to their detriment. Even if you hate them I dunno how you can say they're not good heels. If I were a promoter I'd take 10 just like them.

Anyone else think Diaz +400 is a decent bet? His reach is something I don't think Conor has experienced and Diaz has a big advantage on the ground. Crazy to think this is a coin flip with a lot of hype betting pushing the line?
Yes. There is at least a 1/3 chance that the fight gets to the ground and Connor gets submitted via some actual Jiu Jitsu.

The difference between Conor at 145 and 168 is just incredible:

Yeah, 23 pounds of muscle on a small frame is a helluva thing. As is trenbolone.

Holly needs more body work. Tate's spastic head movement is throwing off her timing and she can't get off.

That is the old school Gracie takedown/trip. Unbelievable. Holly was doing so good stuffing takedowns and she got nailed with lesson 1. I guess it's lesson 1 cause it works.

As good as Holly looked against Ronda, she looked awful tonight. Totally flummoxed by a little head movement and some footwork.

I would be fuming if I were Dana.
Why? He gets more fights out of that crap division. Ronda can destroy Tate again then it's a bigger buildup to her rematch with Holm. If Holly had blown Tate out there's just the semi interesting rematch with Ronda.

Conor might have the best footwork of any athlete on earth. Not sure he brought his power up though. Nate looks sluggish.

I suppose but Ronda/Holm would have been a better fight to sell if Ronda were on "the road to redemption."

If Diaz is willing to stand up this fight is over. Conor by TKO.

Conor should have stayed at 250, extra weight just gassed him. Diaz wouldn't have knocked him out at any weight. Would have been better off being lighter and picking him apart. Prob wanted the knockout and cost himself the win.

I thought he was looking sharp until he took one on the chin and then his eye lids immediately got heavy. I don't think that was gas.

Of course, that def could have been a factor of it went longer.

"I hit too much arms"

Please tell me that's a boxing phrase and not that he did too many curls.

Yeah. He was hitting forearms and elbows and not getting through to the head and body. Not sure that's true. He just didn't have the power to keep Diaz off him or the chin to take Diaz's punches. Not like Nate was turning those over even.

All my jiu jitsu buddies (mostly the younger ones) are going nuts on fbook praising the glory of bjj. In my 20 some odd years of being in the bjj scene, I've never learned to throw a straight left like Nate Diaz. Must be a secret technique

Bjj is great, but when a dude is flopping around on his back trying not to get hit with his head and neck totally unprotected, you don't need to be Penn or Gracie to throw a choke on him.

I know but I'm going to let them have their fun

Tate, on the other hand, did a helluva job scrambling to lock that in then holding it through the flip.

That was awesome. I think Conor was just too big for this fight. Cardio didn't adjust to his new weight. He also seemed to go all in for the KO rd1 throwing some uncharasteric huge bombs

Yeah I don't think McGregor has anything to be ashamed of. Moving up to 170 was a big ask and Diaz is a tough bastard.

So any predictions for UFC 200?

Mcgregor said he's going to go back to 145 and defend his title against either Aldo or Edgar. I'd bet on Aldo getting his rematch since that can headline the PPV. Not sure if Edgar/McGregor has the same buzz.

I'll go with the top 3 fights being:

Mcgregor vs Aldo
Tate vs Rouse
Lawler vs Diaz

I think Aldo has a lot to prove and that should scare McGregor. No shame in losing while fighting 25 pounds over your preferred class. But losing two in a row is a bad look. If he was smart, he'd angle for a cupcake this match, and Aldo the next.

Cant angle for a cupcake when you're the reigning champ.

I wanna see him fight RDA at 155 though. He would definitely be ready in time for 200 off the broken foot.

I realize that puts the featherweight title on the shelf for mad long but maybe make Aldo and Frankie fight each other and winner gets Conor's first defense.

How can anyone justify McGregor getting a shot at the lightweight champ when he just lost to the #5 guy in the lightweight division? I know they fought at 170, but Diaz is still a lightweight fighter. I'm sure 155 is in McGregor's future, but I think he'll need to defend at 145 a time or two before he takes another shot at 155, and when he does, he'll have to beat someone at 155 before he gets a shot at that title.

I don't think McGregor would really expect to do otherwise. He know this. White knows this. They're both good businessmen. They know they've got to rebuild the hype. A gift title shot wouldn't be good business.
