It's a terrible card. They're riding Conor on this one.Is this the last fight before the main event? Cos if so it wasn't a good appetiser.

It really is. They really are. I was wondeirng what the purses were for the previous two fights and if it's all going into Conors bank account. It's a terrible card. They're riding Conor on this one.
I think Conor gets a lot of points on all the non US PPV but I don’t know for sure.It really is. They really are. I was wondeirng what the purses were for the previous two fights and if it's all going into Conors bank account.
Probably not. He lost his last 2 before this. He's just washed.I don’t know what just happened. Did Cowboy throw that fight?
Money wise sureI know some of you are McGregor haters. But this result is awesome for the UFC. The league is better with a competitive Conor.
Yeah. As soon as I saw that, I assumed a Conor win = Masvidal call out. I guess not. He just wanted to bring the bling.Lol Masvidal brought his BMF belt to the fight?
Are they just running too many shows? I feel like there are more good fighters now than ever, and the women’s divisions are finally starting to fill out a bit.I looked at some of the upcoming cards....UFC is in a dark place
I think so. Used to be a long wait between cards but the cards were stacked. Now they do a lot of cards. If you combined the next numbered UFC with the next “fight night” you would get a good card. Are they just running too many shows? That’s what turned boxing to poop. There are lots of good fighters, but I think the money is bad enough that once they move up in the rankings, many of them are risk averse enough that the matchmakers have a difficult time.
If true, I don't blame the fighters at all, but it sucks.
After the shoulder strikes, it was the head kick that did Cowboy in. Conor proved me wrong. Was watching some pre-Diaz Conor fights today. That fighter is likely gone, and it's a shame. I forgot that he had such an incredible arsenal of accurate kicks which helped him manage distance and set up his knockout punches. Would be cool to see him prove me wrong.
I prefer arm in guillotine all day
For some reason I thought the UFC had more pull in what matches were to happen an when. It's what kept them from having guys fight cream puffs to retain their title, like boxing. That’s what turned boxing to poop.
I thought UFC had the advantage because Dana would never let a Floyd-Manny situation go down. Or what’s going on now with Joshua ducking everyone.
No, UFC can do whatever they want. But when you are sorely lacking in star power as UFC is now, risking that star power by having them get KOd by a dangerous but bland or unknown/unmarketable fighter is not a decision readily made. For some reason I thought the UFC had more pull in what matches were to happen an when. Am I wrong?
D'you think they could do what we've had in boxing recently with an 8 person bracket for a world title...like the one that (great scot) Josh Taylor won last year. In some respects you could argue there's a case for having another organisation/governing body that can have it's own contenders and champs and hype and we can move to unify belts and stuff. Not as many as in boxing, but one more might not hurt. No, UFC can do whatever they want. Better off getting the money that is there now rather than counting on Conor fighting a bunch more, staying out of trouble, or not getting smashed by Masvidal or someone like Gaethje.Dana is pushing the Khabib rematch, which doesn’t make sense to me. Conor on a win streak is a UFC cash cow. Why put him at risk again when he has better odds against Jorge or others?
Yeah, Masvidal is the obvious fight to make right now. He's at peak popularity, and it would be huge in it's own right. The trash talking between those two would be something else.I think Connor dusts Gathje. I'm 50/50 on Masvidal though and I don't think he beats Khabib.
I'm surprised that Dana is pushing that fight again. If he fights Masvidal it would do arguably the numbers a Khabib fight does and I don't think his star power takes a big hit considering he'd be moving up a weight class to fight him.
Ehh, Masvidal's trash talk reminds me of Wilder's - he's good every now and then for a spontaneous hook, but when he tries to plan something out he comes off as try-hard. He was annoying in the interview before Conor's last fight with his Versace robe and phony belt. I think he'd look goofy doing press conferences trying to keep up with Conor's natural wit and charisma the same way Wilder did trying to match Fury.Yeah, Masvidal is the obvious fight to make right now. I think he’s not a good person, and it bothers me when high level athletes can’t come into fights in shape, but I’ve always said his offensive arsenal is extremely impressive.Marciano complimenting Connor. Never thought I’d see the day
It will be interesting to see what kind of Jon Jones comes out tonight. If you'll remember, he looked entirely mortal against a hobbled Thiagos Santos the last time we saw him in June. That night he decided to take some extended time to prepare for his next fight, after previously saying he wanted to fight much more frequently in 2019. FWIW, Jones was already a considerable favorite, and late money appears to be coming in on him. This dude have a shot against Jones tonight? I’ve never heard of him.
Shevchenko must be primed for another shot against Nunes after Amanda looked slow and sloppy last fight.
IF Jones comes out looking as shitty as he did in his last fight, Reyes could catch him. Maybe a 5% chance but that applies to like every fight ever. This dude have a shot against Jones tonight? I’ve never heard of him.

What is Rogan talking about? D Lewis has always had these kicks in his arsenal. He's just usually too tired to try them later in his fights.
