And on the 6th day, God said, let there be man. And let him perform in horrifying halftime shows. And verily shall you be ashamed to be onto the same species as him. And God looked at his work, and saw that it was embarrassing.

Smart play for Carolina here would be to punt the ball back to Romo. Don't know why they're screwing around trying to get first downs.

Also, Dallas' D is playing pretty well. 14 of the 23 points are due to INT returns and the other 3 were because of another INT. Not really getting a lot of help from the other side. The Giants must be watching the football today and wonder how they aren't in first by 4 games. Then they will remember they threw away 2-3 games with idiotic mistakes at the end of games.

Romo looks drunk or something. Along with the three picks, he just fucked up a handoff, keeps pouring water in his face to wake up.

Mike Carey, "You can't jump and land on players, thus a 15 yard penalty and a first down."

Cut to the replay, where he lands on the ground.

Stupid is as stupid does. Leap your way to 7 points instead of 3. It, at a minimum, drain the clock when you are trailing by 3 scores.

So I guess it's been called a second time now?
Probably been clear for a few weeks, but Carolina is definitely not a pretender. Had to see them in a complete game to completely drill it home.
Who have they played other than the Packers (who may not be as good as once thought)?

Me neither. And he landed on no one.
Yeah...the announcers were talking about how he landed on someone and how it was important to keep that rule in the game ...and I kept wondering what they were seeing.

He toughed the lineman. And that's all it takes, Stupid.
But without the launch, that doesn't matter. So they got one of the elements of it right, but not the one that makes it a penalty.

If you're scoring at home, that's the third play where the Cowboys got fucked on a terrible call (or no call). Doubtful they win anyway, but this is fucking disgraceful.

What do you think the launch rule means? If you start from a yard away, jump over the line, and make contact, it's a penalty. He did that.

Who have the Pats beaten who are any good? A depleted Steelers team week 1? Or arguing the Giants are good? Even then, it's 2 to 1. (And no, the Bills, Jets and Dolphins are not good teams)

The launch rule requires you to launch off of a teammate. What the fuck do you think the name of the rule implies?

Yeah, this talk that the Panthers aren't good because they haven't "beat" anyone is ridiculous. They are 11-0. That is really damn impressive.

First off, Arizona can beat them

Any team that has a coach that punts on 4th and 3 from the 37 will lose
No way? Arizona can beat them? Well then, they suck. Sarcasm over.

I mean, there are probably a bunch of teams that *could* beat them. Turns out, however, that nobody has.

Why are we comparing them to the Pats? We were just talking about them being pretenders or not... I think Carolina is a good team, but not sure they've proven it with their last few teams they've played was my point.

(I thought I deleted the first sentence which was intended to be about the launching rule which I haven't seen called all that often).

Well, they say you can only beat the team in front of you. Also, they've beaten as many teams who currently have a winning record as the Patriots: 1.

Carolina is having a great season. That being said, I would love to play them in the Super Bowl.

Sure Arizona can beat them. That's different than saying Carolina is not any good. That is a pretty extreme position, and if one is basing it on the schedule, the Pats are about equally unproven. Other than the Steelers, the Pats have yet to play a good, well balanced team this season.

Wrong, fuckhead. Quote the rule. It's leaping OR using a teammate to launch.
You're right, dickhead, there are two variations of the rule. Leaping requires the player to be further than one yard back of the line of scrimmage and doesn't require any contact with a teammate. Launching does require contact with a teammate to become a penalty. But since I'm about to put my daughter to bed, I can't go back and check where Jones was relative to the line of scrimmage.

Considering how awful these officials have been, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he wasn't that far back.
