As bad as that first quarter was, honesty, if I'm the league, I want Carolina to win this. Cam is marketable for the next 10 years. Peyton is marketable, at best, for the next 10 hours, assuming he retires. You want Cam to win and be the face of your league moving forward. Manning's legacy means nothing long-term to the NFL.
Just got home from Carnaval - this is the first year in a long time I'll watch this on regular TV (ESPN here in Brazil). My commentary options are the terrible, goofy-ass Brazilian dudes, or some generic NFL Media guys I've never heard of, that apparently is what they send out as the SAP option for non-US countries. Weird that they have an American broadcast duo just for this, instead of just sending out the regular Nantz-Simms feed for SAP.
Could have gone either way in real time, but the ball absolutely shifts (that is, momentarily loses control) right after this frame. How are so few people getting this?
