I think I may make that my ringtone. The "Big...Bang...Clock...Palace" at the end just tops it all off. Absolute perfection.

It was at about 9:30, and they played it again at the very end of the show as they went to break.

So ... I don't know if it was coincidence or not but D&C played a Farve bit with music and quotes which was just about identical to one that Toucher and Rich had played about an hour or so earlier. Same music, pretty much same quotes. Fred mentioned in just after D&C played it and called them out.

Regardless of whether they copied them, produced bits just don't work on AM. Production values suck.

Yeah...that was kind of surreal.

I wouldn't put it past D&C to be listening in on "Toucher and Rich." However, if I remember correctly, their Favre bit was only a few minutes after T&R's....so maybe it was coincidence. Because I'm not sure you would be able to put together a bit that quickly...

Eagerly anticipating this going up on the website since I didn't get to work til after it aired.
The did politics this morning. I won't post any of the classic quotes from the bit because I don't want to spoil them for you as there were many instant classics.

I'm utterly giddy for the Shawn Thornton interview tomorrow. I don't think ive ever looked forward to a sports talk radio interview like this before.

Today's Dating on Demand was outstanding. Rich found the one Crash did between his last show and when he moved to Atlanta.

On the "Amount it made me laugh scale" it's somewhere between a nut shot and Naughty Mazzerotti.

Does anybody have a pic of Meriweather's hat? I heard the Funky Meriweather bit yesterday, and it was funny enough without the imagery. Figured I'd appeal to the SoSH masses to try and find it.

This morning from 7:45 to about 8:15 or so was some of the worst radio I have heard from these two. I thought Adolfo's Drunken Recap was horendous, and the Hot Stove report being sung by Fred was just annoyingly bad, please leave that stuff to Rich. Just as it sounded like it was starting to get better with a caller taking on Wallach over Crawford I had to get out of my car.

Well you missed Wallach talking about how he desperately wants the Sox to sign Konerko to play 1B and move Youkilis to 3B. Not that I needed any more evidence that he's a complete moron but that certainly strengthened my case. The "Sweet Sassy Molassy" Awards that followed were pretty hilarious though.

I thought the Hot Stove thing was harmless. They clearly don't take themselves seriously hence the light hearted tone to it.

This just posted from Rich on Twitter:

November's ratings for T&R: #1 Men 25-54, #1 Men 18-49, and #1 Men 18-34. A sincere thanks, respect, and a raised pint to you, ya jerks!

Great to hear about the ratings.

Harmless or not, the Hot Stove thing sucked. I'm not going to stop listening because of it, sometimes they swing and miss (What's Tappening? for example) and for all the praise we heap on them when they strike gold, it's fair for us to point out when the do something that misses.

To be fair, that Hot Stove song wasn't really a produced bit like Rich does - it was just Fred being spontaneous and riffing over music. Still wasn't amazing, but it's not like it was a big planned production like "What's Tappening."

That was pretty good, but I thought the segment just before it was even funnier. They were playing clips of amateur college announcers who were just brutal. One kid was doing the rink-side analysis at a hockey game, and kept saying "Back to you guys!" in this hilarious nerdy, high-pitched voice.

Fred kept playing that clip, after saying stuff like "Here come the guys from shop class, what are you gonna do with your lunch money?" (Back to you guys!)

Then Rich started playing just the "guys!" part. He said something like, "So who's coming to your party this weekend?" (Guys!)

I'm not doing it justice, but I was laughing my ass off.

Listening to Fred talk about the Sox (at least in the 9:00am hour), is infinitely better than Felger and Mazz. He actually comes across as being better informed and a sports expert compared to them.

That was awesome. Great great stuff.

Also, I was thinking about this on the ride to work this morning, Wallach has been a million times less annoying recently. I don't know what exactly it is, but he's interrupting less and finally going along with the sense of humor of the group. I haven't yelled "Shut up Wallach" at the radio in quite a while, now that I think about it.

I wonder if Fred and Rich constantly telling him to shut up and playing the eagle noises finally sunk in.

T&R convincingly demonstrates that they understand baseball vastly better than Tony Mazz.

Oh my god his music movie review of The Fighter with DA was GENIUS

Rich is just insane. Brilliant. He is Tom Brady/Randy Moss 2007. Pedro 99-2000. This is great stuff, is there any wonder they have smoked Dennis and Callahan this quickly? The self-professed "no prepare" hosts?

Edit: Love them going after Mazz and Felger for their baseball talk. They said something to the effect that it seems like if you covered baseball in this town for a while you have to be negative, among other things.

Fred rapping over the DA "Mothership" intro around 9:50 almost made me pass out, it was so funny. Good lord.

I hope this translates to more listeners for DA, because he deserves them.

That was pretty impressive. I had to change the channel when Gresh called in (isn't 10 - 2 enough? pollute your own show), but fortunately switched it back in time for that display.

It's time for, "ESPN Commentator talking about Brett Favre, or speech at a presidential funeral." :rolling:

I got called into a meeting at 9:15, how was it? Apparently he thought of the idea at like 8:15 and put it together in an hour.

If he put it together in an hour it was even better. Some of them were obvious, but they did a great job grabbing some quotes from Ditka and Berman in particular that could have easily been Presidential funeral remarks. It was funny stuff.
