Except they aren’t committing crimes and are instead doing subjective things so you’re making a stupid analogy. As in most things of life, this isn’t a simple binary thing and is more akin to a spectrum. Where everyone’s spectrum is different.
Well this should get interesting.Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone sued Barstool Sports and contributor Kirk Minihane today for an interview about the Barstool/Bruins towel controversy he claims Minihane conducted without his permission - while pretending to be the Globe's Kevin Cullen.
In the suit, filed in Middlesex Superior Court, Curtatone says this violates the Massachusetts wiretap law, which requires a person's consent to record them over the phone.
Your error was the most offensive thing I’ve ever read on this board. I’m offended by the offensiveness.I think that you're right, it was Colby.
Exactly. Some of what Boras said made sense but some of it was total shit. Do entrepreneurs get bailed out when they take a risk and fail? Why should baseball players be any different?
Is this with his wife or mistress?
To be fair, two of them host a top 10 pod and had an ESPN show. It's really not. One is the host of a top 10 podcast in the country and had a show on ESPN. The others are/have not.
It would be like if I said every poster on Sons of Sam Horn is an unfunny moron because Dummy Hoy posts here.
Yeah but this was about confusing Big Cat and KFC. The bigger confusion I would have thought would be around PFT and KFC because of how my brain works with initials. To be fair, two of them host a top 10 pod and had an ESPN show.
Seems an awfully harsh reply over nothing. It would be like if I said every poster on Sons of Sam Horn is an unfunny moron because Dummy Hoy posts here.
And I obviously don't pay enough attention to any of that to know the difference. I've sampled a bunch of Barstool product. I like Chicklets because hockey locker rooms are hilarious, and I listened to zero blog 30 for a while but Cons annoyed me too much. The rest of it ranged from not really my thing to thinking the persons were shitheads. I don't come in here and chastise people for listening just because I don't, but I do think it's funny the zealousness with which people defend all things Barstool. And I happen to find it funny that they all seem have ridiculous nicknames. Much like Animal House. But YMMV obviously. It's really not. One is the host of a top 10 podcast in the country and had a show on ESPN. The others are/have not.
Although In my defense, between big cat and kfc and pft and yp and flounder and pinto and whatnot, it’s a bit confusing.
For what it's worth, I laughed at "flounder and pinto". The space of overlap between ridiculous fratty nicknames and sports talk might as well be known as "Bro Culture".And I happen to find it funny that they all seem have ridiculous nicknames. Much like Animal House. But YMMV obviously.
When I heard what he did I found it stupid and understood why he was fired. Then a few days after he was fired he was on Kirks podcast and explained his thought process which kind of made sense to me. I wish they gave him a long suspension but I understand why he was fired and he clearly understands why as well.wow, francis got fired https://twitter.com/stoolpresidente/status/1144726398776557569
talented dude
Most predictable shit of all time. I'm shocked it took even a week to bust out the fake drama routine.I listened to some of Kirk's podcast when it first launched, of course the first couple episodes were about bashing 'eei, which is understandable. But after awhile the focus turned to bashing other members of BS (for example, Carrabis). It immediately became like where did I hear this before.
I know he got called out on the fake in-house drama at 'eei, but pulling the same shit at BS is a shame. Talk about a one trick pony.
According to the National Labor Relations Board, it is unlawful for employers to discourage (or encourage, for that matter) union activities or sympathies “by discrimination in regard to hire or tenure of employment or any term or condition of employment.” For example, the NLRB says, companies are prohibited from laying off or disciplining employees because they are pro-union.
Portnoy was informed on Twitter that his comments violated U.S. labor laws; he retweeted several that pointed it out. In response to one commenter who expressed hope that Barstool employees will form a union, Portnoy said, “Me too. Just so I can crush it and reassert my dominance.”
He's obviously trolling, and so long as an employee doesn't bring a cause of action against him, he's "safe" I guess, but this is beyond stupid.Variety has a story today on Portnoy's threats: https://variety.com/2019/digital/news/barstool-sports-threatens-to-fire-employees-union-organization-1203300790/
This should be the title of Portnoy's biographyHe's trolling. But it's not funny enough to be worth it.
I think he's probably giggling that she retweeted him. He is already coming up with a slogan to plaster all over Barstool merch which will sell like wildfire because of this. He's trolling. But it's not funny enough to be worth it.
EDIT: now @AOC quote tweets him. I'm sure Dave would say he wanted all this attention, galaxy brain, etc. but I'd bet he's actually sweating a little now.
