Yea, really good catcher. Hurt very early last year. A Bailey connection there. Red Sox have a non existent AAA catcher so it makes a lot of sense.

No, he only gets that money if and when he is selected to the 26 man roster.

I'm not sure which is funnier, that he had an OPS+ of 7 last year, or that his OPS+ is higher than Aquaman's with Boston last year (5).

I'd have guessed he played more games in Cleveland, but I guess watching him bat just made his tenure seem excruciatingly long. In reality, he was usually splitting time behind the plate. He's really good with a pitching staff, but he's barely been on the field since he left Cleveland two years ago. Not to turn this V&N, but I'll just add that his opinions during COVID made me not unhappy to see him go.
