I PM'd him a few hours ago (4:45ish).mascho said:Chart should be updated as of this post. Did OFT get a PM?
That is John Brown - at a 4.34 40, he was just a tick behind Brandin Cooks' 4.33. And since he was a third-round pick, it's not even a reach. No arrests I've heard of, but he did flunk out of one college. That good enough?Old Fart Tree said:I'm not. But then, neither was Al. For most of the important decisions. I mean, he took a kicker in the fucking first round.
OK, this is what I'm going to do: I am taking the fastest rookie WR not yet drafted. Who is that? No fucking clue. Laddie thinks it's John Brown. I have never heard of John Brown.
Look, it's my birthday so I'm not really paying attention. Can I just pick the WR with the fastest 40 time who has not yet been picked? IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?????
Is he like a relative of yours?dylanmarsh said:Making up for an earlier skipped picks and putting a band-aid on my interior defense with the loss of Daryl Washington to weed: Kenny Demens, ILB

I love this kid. Princeton's first two-time All-American in 20 years. He's young, having enrolled at Princeton when only 17. So he's still growing and currently at 6'2" 302. Detroit drafted him to watch and learn behind Suh/Fairley as a DT in a 4-3, and I'm basically doing the same with him. He can watch and learn behind Richardson/Fairley, spelling them at times. Also has 7 blocked kicks in his career so he can contribute right away on special teams.
And if things get down in the locker room, he was a bass singer in Princeton's Old NasSoul. A jaunty tune to lift spirits never hurts.

Huge binky of mine. So what if he needs 1-3 years to develop? High ceiling guy at this point in the draft is fantastic. I overdrafted him in our mock 3rd round. Still, love the upside, man. Perhaps we can introduce him to the world at Seacrets?
I believe he's already on ragnarok's team.Dgilpin said:Lions select - Marlon Brown - WR (Ravens)
I was very close to taking him.SMU_Sox said:Jacquian Williams, LB, RL-NYG. He's going to play WLB - he's got amazing speed. He excels in coverage. Grumpy is trying to motivate him by giving him camp competition but he should win out. If he doesn't he can alternate with Arthur Brown.
He's the 8th best coverage linebacker of the 4-3's according to PFF in 2013. He ranks top 8, top 12, in all their signature stats. He's a smaller LB but should give us around average production. He's hurt a bit - but when he is healthy he has a high ceiling. And he's healthy right now and is exploding in OTA's which means jack shit lol.
We have a slight problem... Manny Lawson is a standard SLB in a 4-3 defense. He's an average starter there who is better at stopping the run and rushing the passer than in coverage. This year BUF is switching him to a 4-3 DE. We plan on using him as a hybrid 4-3 DE/OLB/SLB role. Possibly a nascar Spikes type of role too. He could easily be a standard average starter at SLB. We'd prefer keeping him that way. It's obvious from his history what his production would be... fucking Buffalo.
Edit: I am pretty excited to get Williams here as I think he has proven himself enough that he's at least better than average LB depth. Arthur Brown had a year of learning but we're not sure he gets the starting job. If anything Brown is a great nickle LB - Williams too. We need one of these guys to step up and we want 2 WLB's who are strong against the pass in coverage.
