autopsy is expected to be completed by early October.Has there been any indication of how he died at all? I know the autopsy isn’t coming back until October and I don’t want to hear about that bullshit newspaper report but I would’ve thought something would be said by now, like if he had a condition or something. So sad.
The Dee Gordon home run in the José Fernandez game was very improbable and very emotional, but maybe not as improbable as this.Honestly trying to come up something like this Angels performance tonight and I can think of Favre after his pop died, IT4 going for 33, Piazza's walk off after 9/11, and Steve Gleason's blocked punt after Katrina. But this was different because it was about a teammate. That was incredible.
My buddy has season tickets for the Angels and he sent me videos during and after the game. Fans at a tribute to Skaggs outside the stadium bawling their eyes out. It's unreal.
None of those measure up. This is insane, both because it isn’t just about individual performance, but also because of the randomness involved in baseball. How many balls in play were there?Honestly trying to come up something like this Angels performance tonight and I can think of Favre after his pop died, IT4 going for 33, Piazza's walk off after 9/11, and Steve Gleason's blocked punt after Katrina. I'd add Nava's game winning home run in the first home game after the marathon bombing.Honestly trying to come up something like this Angels performance tonight and I can think of Favre after his pop died, IT4 going for 33, Piazza's walk off after 9/11, and Steve Gleason's blocked punt after Katrina. This is the sort of thing that just gives you chills and goosebumps.“The last time there was a combined no-hitter in the state of California? Orioles-A's in Oakland on July 13, 1991 - the same day Tyler Skaggs was born.”
Did you even read the post you responded to?autopsy is expected to be completed by early October.
It fascinates me how long these reports take give current technology.Has there been any indication of how he died at all? I know the autopsy isn’t coming back until October and I don’t want to hear about that bullshit newspaper report but I would’ve thought something would be said by now, like if he had a condition or something. This seems like a good place for Dee Gordon’s quote:The Dee Gordon home run in the José Fernandez game was very improbable and very emotional, but maybe not as improbable as this.
“I got one thing to say and I said it three years ago and I’m going be done with it,” Gordon said. “If you don’t believe in God, you might want to start. I said it three years ago when I hit the homer for Jose. They had a no-hitter today. Y’all better start. That’s all I got.”
Don't disagree at all. It's bananas that this happened. There's really nothing like it.None of those measure up. This is insane, both because it isn’t just about individual performance, but also because of the randomness involved in baseball. How many balls in play were there?
19. Using the combined xBA Savant gives, the odds of those 19 balls in play having a net batting average of .000? 1 in 6974.How many balls in play were there?
To be fair, having a perfect game thrown against them would have made their season highlight reel, too. That hit will make the Orioles season highlight reel.
Yeah, Tatis threw one away to start the inning, then a double play, then a walk, then a ball to Hosmer that he stopped but booted. Paddack didn't cover though, so Hosmer had to dive for the runner and they called him out and then out on replay even though I think he was safe.Perfecto ended by error.
Because of the hair?I can't watch Leake chase that without thinking about Randy Johnson's perfecto.
Yep. And the pace.Because of the hair?
