He does rate well defensively. By all accounts, his aim is true.I'd watch every single game Elvis Costello started.
I can't stand to see [Chaim / Sox ownership] this way.He does rate well defensively. By all accounts, his aim is true.
I can certainly see the attractions.I'd watch every single game Elvis Costello started.
Sometimes I wish that I could stop you from talking when I hear the silly things that you say.He does rate well defensively. By all accounts, his aim is true.
Eh. One's going to be too expensive, the other not worth the price.Apparently you can't change your vote. Would be great if the Sox could find someone amongst the remaining free agent SS to take over. I have zero confidence they will be able to get that right.
I'd listen to Joe C call them on the radio radio.I'd watch every single game Elvis Costello started.
Wasn’t there a lot of noise about how much Iggy’s defense had fallen off when we traded for him a couple of years ago?I really want Jose Iglesias. His fielding is better than X who I will miss more than Betts. He would be the perfect stopgap until Mayer or Romero are ready.
If we could have a second vote than Elvis Andrus. He can still field and would hit homeruns over the Green Monster.
And I wonder whether they're going to give Rafaela a chance to stick at SS, too.I'm probably most interested in a trade for Kim, but I have no idea what the Padres are planning to do with him. I don't think 2022 shortstop money for Correa/Swanson makes sense with Mayer/Romero in the pipeline.
In between prayers to your Rodon doll?Segura was the conclusion I came to this AM also, after the Bogaerts news went down.
AgreedJust that he made the most sense for how I think BOS will pivot, he can play both 2B and SS, has playoff experience, had a solid year, and shouldn't be too pricy (although who knows at this point).
I also suggested Segura in the 2023 thread. Seems like the sensible solution after the X debacle.Agreed
No.I voted other because I’ll take the field instead of one of the listed players.
What if Bloom offered Correa a 3 year, $120m? Would he take it?
Why do you think that Correa will go for another pillow contract? He had a pretty decent year last season for the Twins, why would he take a one-year deal if he didn't need to post some big numbers and lift up his value?I think they’ll get Correa on a one year deal again.
I will add to that, Nimmo who is an oft injured outfielder just signed an eight year 180 million dollar deal. That seems like the floor for Correa at this point. Why do you think that Correa will go for another pillow contract? He had a pretty decent year last season for the Twins, why would he take a one-year deal if he didn't need to post some big numbers and lift up his value?
Love to see his batting routine where he tramps the dirt down.I'd listen to Joe C call them on the radio radio.
This is intriguing as a bounce back candidate, if the Tigers would eat like 40% of that deal.I was thinking about Baez, who following his Mets stint was my secret SS crush (who I hoped no one would sign and we’d get in a “Story scenario”), but the plate discipline he showed with the Mets evaporated and I’m not sure the Sox as presently constituted are a good bet to get him to bring it back…
You could probably get the Tigers to eat a lot of the deal, but he might not even be worth that payroll hit.
I voted Iggy. It's more of a wish than what I think they will do.I'm all in on Iglesias. He's a joy to watch.
