I haven't watched a lot of the B's this year, but I was pretty shocked at the turnovers in their own end from the late 2nd period on. After the Loui goal, the Bruins made this game much harder on themselves by not getting the puck out and dealing with longer shifts. Yes, they got boned by the refs, but that was one thing I count on from Julien Bruins, sound conservative play in their own end. To add, those post-goal shift numbers are staggering.

That is a team playing not to lose, not trying to win.

I know we all joke about firing Claude - but in an absolute must win game - you have one of the worst players in the game playing more significant minutes than everyone else on the team when the team is holding a lead in the third?

Are people really joking about firing Claude? I want his head on a pike. (Chia's too)

I'm paying attention in a meeting (honest!) so I can't look it up but what about actual toi? How many of those shifts were just second center for a d-zone faceoff and then off the ice?

One 7 second shift, the rest were normal 25-45 second shifts. There was a PK (Bergeron DOG) that accounts for some extra shifts. Claude's idea of shortening the bench is no 3rd line (they got 3 shifts all period) and using the 4th line in its place.

Edit: Campbell's 3rd period TOI matches up closely with Kelly and Talbot so I don't think its a case of Campbell getting extra shifts as a spare forward for draws.

There's been a lot of bullshit in these threads recently but I think this takes the cake.  And you call yourself a moderator.

I can see wanting to staple the kids to the bench close and late, but that also means youre doing that to Lucic (as the shift numbers show). How about a situational line of Kelly/Talbot/Lucic and fire Campbell into the sun? People bitch about Lucic but he should be on the ice before Paille, Campbell etc

One thing about the kids too, is that they may make up for inexperience with actually having legs left after 58 minutes of play. I know that's not how Clod sees it, but there were some tired B's struggling in the defensive zone at the end of the game.
