Or somethng like that. But I'd love for Claude or chia or cam or someone to throw a nutty on that non-goalie interference, some of the non-calls late, and the ot call.
Brutal

Ken Dryden isn't stopping that shot. Perfectly placed, screened, and an absolute snipe.
I turned it off right after they scored but it looked like it went right at the area above his shoulder and under the crossbar that's just an awkward spot for a goalie. Was that correct?

Yes, at least to my eyes. I don't think anyone could have stopped that.

Brutal loss, though. 6 in a row. Not really what we needed going down the stretch.

Yup. Hit right under the crossbar. It was also fired through a screen, and right below the top of the circles. It was a legit snipe.

Brutal loss as it was - the Bruins were 30 seconds and some bad reffing away from beating the best team in the league. Yes - it was brutal - but it was also pretty encouraging.

Not to be a dick, but it's too late in the season for just "encouraging." If it was December I'd happily agree with you. They're tied with Ottawa in points for the last spot but Ottawa has two games in hand. The only thing that matters at this point is results and getting 2 points from every game, and we all know that. Last night they kicked away a chance at getting 2 points, and that's a real bitch.

Yea, you're right. I keep looking for signs this team has figured it out - but you're right. With 8 games left they're not "figuring it out," they're hanging on for dear life.

Between here and everywhere.
Pulled this from HFBoards.

Number of shifts in the 3rd Period after the Eriksson goal:
Campbell - 9
Eriksson - 8
Kelly - 8
Marchand - 8
Talbot - 7
Soderberg - 7
Bergeron - 7
Krejci - 6
Smith - 6
Lucic - 4
Spooner - 3
Pastrnak - 3

That is a team playing not to lose, not trying to win.

I know we all joke about firing Claude - but in an absolute must win game - you have one of the worst players in the game playing more significant minutes than everyone else on the team when the team is holding a lead in the third?

Someone tell me how that's not goalie interference.

Did the puck bounce on the ice and then over Tuukka's pad? If he doesn't get bumped off balance the puck likely hits his pad.

Its hard to tell, but it does look like the puck ever so slightly changes direction after going by Tuukka so I think he may have caught a piece of it... If he doesn't get spun there's a good chance he saves it.

I've said my piece on Campbell/4th line. I'm a Julien defender but his 4th line close-and-late usage last night was completely indefensible.
