NLRB ruling surely will be appealed to Washington NLRB and likely beyond. But if ruling stands it's earth-shattering to college athletics.

The case seemed strong, and it's hard to say this ruling was unexpected. It's a fair decision in my view.
 
My son disagrees with this--he'll be attending Northwestern starting this fall, and is concerned it will weaken the football program. Ah, the follies of youth.
