In another universe the AFCCG went first?Brady is going to need to try to exploit Alford.
They converted the 2 with a Ripko run earlier. When they fail they do look stupid.Run? GJGE
And still lose by two touchdowns.Without the missed FG and red zone fumble, Green Bay could have put up 30.
And if a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his booty- Jimy WilliamsWithout the missed FG and red zone fumble, Green Bay could have put up 30.
It's cute when this happens, isn't it?In another universe the AFCCG went first?
Not that it matters because this game is over, but this line of thinking is completely backwards. The sooner you know how many points you need, the better. If you know that you'll need a 2 point conversion at some point, you should go for one as soon as you can.I would have kicked there, make it 22. Not that it's a huge deal, but if you somehow get really lucky with onside kicks you've guaranteed you need to hit 2 more 2 point conversions. Get it to 22, then 15, then 8 and worry about it.
Yes. Thank you.Not that it matters because this game is over, but this line of thinking is completely backwards. The sooner you know how many points you need, the better. If you know that you'll need a 2 point conversion at some point, you should go for one as soon as you can.
Exactly - you don't want to end up in a situation with 30 seconds left where you go for two and fail and lose the game. If you're going to need an additional possession, you want to know as early as possible. Not that it matters because this game is over, but this line of thinking is completely backwards. I thought the stack of pizza boxes sitting next to it was a nice touch. They couldn't find a better place to put the trophy?
Damn. Way overestimated GBI don't think this ends up being all that close. I think the Packers will get theirs, scoring into the upper 20s. But I think Atlanta gets to the upper 30s or low 40s in this one. Something like 38-27 or 41-27.
Yeah that is what I noticed early in that game two. During the Pats game you could at least argue NE was running complicated routes and Brady was moving around the pocket so guys could get open. Atlanta just had Ryan drop back and Jones and Sanu ran simple 15 yard routes and were wide open.Watching a replay of Dom Capers' defense leave guys open with no one within 15 yards. The Falcons are good but holy shit is this Packers secondary terrible.
Yes - I linked to it earlier in this thread:Did we ever get an answer why the fumble recovery wasn't a safety?
FWIW, here's the official explanation about the fumble recovery ruling:
http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/229521/why-the-nfl-granted-falcons-a-touchback-after-packers-fumble
Couldn't have been a safety.
His body was in the end zone when he recovered it, hence the touchback.
Think of a gunner downing a punt. If they are in the endzone when they down the punt, it is a touchback, regardless of whether the ball crossed the line.
