they went from being 1 decent pass from fg range with all there timeouts to having to take a knee

Yup. It was a questionable call, but the hit clearly came before the ball hit the ground. It's either first down Seattle or no call.

With the marginal holding call on Sherman that kept the TD drive alive, I can't feel bad for SF.

Technically yes, but it usually isn't called within five yards of the LOS. If you called that consistently, there would be a flag on every pass play, at least where the D plays M2M.

Hell of a catch by Crabtree.
