They wouldn't beat a 14-58 Knicks team.
I always used to laugh as these best college vs best pro comparisons as the college team typically had a couple starters and most of its bench consisting of players who would never be drafted or even in an NBA camp.....they simply weren't NBA prospects.
This UK team is unique in that it is the first college team in the history of the game to have 8-10 NBA draft picks including a half dozen first round picks a couple of which will be high lottery selections.
How many of these Knick players would be in UK's top-8 rotation?
Amundsen and Bargnani - Are either playing over Anthony-Towns or WCS at the 4/5? No
Galloway - A push at best vs Aaron Harrison and Booker.
Larkin - I'd give him slight edge over Harrison and Ulis.
Lance Thomas - Today a push at best over Lyles/Booker and I'm being generous to Thomas as he wouldn't be a late lottery pick this summer as these two may be.
Aldrich, Smith, Early, Acy - They are older and more experiences than UK's bench but an upgrade over Dakari and Booker? Let's not forget UK lost Poythress to an ACL who is also another NBA guy.
My point is that UK is different than a typical "best college team"......it is a compilation of 8-10 NBA players awaiting eligibility to enter the league. Normally a 15-win NBA smokes the best college team however that isn't the case today when UK would have some of the best players, including THE best in KAT, on the floor right now.
