If they've stopped taking calls from other teams because they said they have a good offer, it certainly sounds like he is going. Also people are pointing out he's only played 2 minutes tonight so it may be the Kings requested he not play because they are trading him. That doesn't mean he's going tonight or at all, necessarily. The New Orleans deal is terrible. If he goes for that lol.
Or they have a deal they like and are waiting to announce it after the game (not sure the NBA would like a deal to be disclosed during the game) or they evaluating a package they like more than others.Or one team was eliminated and they are just calling it a night and tomorrow they resume trade talks with the other teams.
Damn - that takes the Celtics out of it. They have none of that to offer...Per Chris Mannix:
"Kings have not been seeking equal value in Cousins deal, source tells @TheVertical. Young talent, draft picks, expiring contracts primarily."
Or he got traded to the Lakers for Nick Young and the girl with the big butt.Or they have a deal they like and are waiting to announce it after the game (not sure the NBA would like a deal to be disclosed during the game) or they evaluating a package they like more than others.
Swaggy and her are no longer a thing. I am stupider for even knowing this.Or he got traded to the Lakers for Nick Young and the girl with the big butt.
You've got to be shitting meSteve Bulpett@SteveBHoop
According to text from league exec, Celtics have NOT been one of the teams trying to get DeMarcus Cousins today.
That has to be bullshitSteve Bulpett@SteveBHoop

Clearly Danny hasn't been reading DeJesus' posts. You've got to be shitting me
I really hope that isn't true. I can't imagine what Danny Ainge could think would be better use of the assets.Steve Bulpett@SteveBHoop

The assets themselves?I really hope that isn't true. I can't imagine what Danny Ainge could think would be better use of the assets.
I agree. That is what I think is my first choice. I really like this Celts team. The assets themselves?
I agree, but for the fact there's a legit superteam in the NBA for the next 2 seasons. Most other years, I'd be flipping those assets quickly.I agree. That is what I think is my first choice. I really like this Celts team.
I meant if he was determined to cash in the chips, I think Cousins fits the bill.
They ain't winning shit with Boogie this year either. But the assets might win a few in 3-5 years.I don't understand the people who say "I like this team". Thats all well and good but this current team is not going to win shit without a superstar.
That pretty much sums up my feeling, but if trader Danny must make a move, I just hope it isn't Butler as he helps the team the least (I mean Brown should be a poor man's Butler at some point is the hope right?)I agree, but for the fact there's a legit superteam in the NBA for the next 2 seasons. Most other years, I'd be flipping those assets quickly.

Boogie helps them get better for the future as well. They aren't trading ALL of their assets to get him either.I agree, but for the fact there's a legit superteam in the NBA for the next 2 seasons. Most other years, I'd be flipping those assets quickly.

That is so beatable it's ridiculous. I don't get it“@ESPNSteinLine: The Kings are strongly considering New Orleans’ trade offer of two first-round picks and Buddy Hield for DeMarcus Cousins, ESPN sources say”
Well I guess. I don't know how the Celts don't top that offer unless they don't want Boogie.“@ESPNSteinLine: The Kings are strongly considering New Orleans’ trade offer of two first-round picks and Buddy Hield for DeMarcus Cousins, ESPN sources say”
2 of your max contracts going to Hayward and Horford is so fucking awful, I seriously hope that is not the plan.I think there is the real possibility that the hope is to keep the 2017 pick, sign Hayward in the offseason, and use 2018 pick + Bradley for a complementing power forward and bench depth.
Not sure I agree with that, but perhaps there really is something to the "Stevens not wanting Cousins".
Agreed.2 of your max contracts going to Hayward and Horford is so fucking awful, I seriously hope that is not the plan.
Gordon Hayward is a really fucking good basketball player. It definitely isn't an easy choice, if the options are 1) trade Brown + 2017 BRK pick +?? for Cousins, or 2) sign Hayward and keep Brown + 2017 pick2 of your max contracts going to Hayward and Horford is so fucking awful, I seriously hope that is not the plan.
How do they get the rest of the team they need?If the Pelicans put Cousins next to Davis they'll win an NBA title in the next five years.
Jrue Holiday is a decent player too. Just hope to sign someone in FA and sign bench depth. The hard part is acquiring the superstar. How do they get the rest of the team they need?
