Dallas is getting out-track-meeted and their defense against set plays isn't good. Both teams' offense not too shabby.

Mavs get a charge in their favor then Dirk foolishly risks hip contact on a guy that had him beat. 6 pt game now 9 with 3 min left. Mavs making it interesting but they are sunk.

Wow. Mavs force a bad long two, then Ellis for 3. 3 pt game. Dirk with a big defensive board and gets a foul call. Big man is putting the Mavs on his back.

Wow. Mavs play good D on Harden, closing down a pick-and-roll and forcing him into a long two. Which he makes after two bounces on the rim. Sometimes you do everything right and the shot falls anyway.

Clipps look like shit. Still inexplicably doubling and leaving guys wide open from 3.

Leonard dribbles to the exact same spots and does the exact same moves every time down. Every time. Do you know how awful and stupid you have to be defensively for him to get to 30 in a game?

Watching the Spurs is amazing, like watching the Pats. You think they're done and they just keep winning.

Edit : and seeing glen Davis reminded me how much I disliked that guy.

The Clippers bench is so bad that these garbage time games get really out of hand huh?

Doc must cringe every time he sees Austin brick another jumper.

PP stuck the dagger in the Raptors today. He's got such a ridiculous amount of swagger going right now, my goodness.

Bad effort from the Clips and this was a perfect example of how hit-or-miss they can be. They remind me a bit of OKC where they have two really, really good players and they need those players to play extremely well in order to hang with deeper teams. When those players play poorly, they get blown out. This game was critical for the Spurs, because they got the win and only Duncan (31 minutes) played more than 30 minutes.

Also, Otto Porter is having a very nice playoffs so far.

If any C's fans don't want a deep Wizards run in the East, I don't know what to say.  Please have PP and LeBron square off one more time.

Playoff Draymond:

15.8 pts (on .568 ts)  / 12.8 reb / 5.4 ast / 2.2 stl / 1.1 blk

Going mano-a-mano v. Anthony Davis. Anyone still doubt that he's a max player?

He isn't even 6'6" even though they list him at 6'7".  Simply put, he out-competes the guys he is up against.  People who think that he won't get the max are simply looking at his numbers, have only watched him a few times or haven't really watched the guy play.

Who has said he won't get the max? His world will change without Curry and that system he better land in a good situation and not a cluster. He's not a go-to 1/2 offensive option who can fix a cluster and that would be the expectation. I'd imagine GS does what they can to keep him which would be great for both parties.

Austin Rivers leading his team to a road playoff win over the Spurs. I've never been a fan even from his Duke days but he "flat out got it done" today. Mama, there goes that man!!

Memo to sosh: When an NBA team goes on a run against you it's not choking.

Sheesh, no kidding. The Spurs at home are obviously going to have a run.....

One good series in the west...a possibility that Brooklyn-Atlanta will be good, too - Brooklyn really should have stolen a game in Atlanta. But the Spurs-Clips is obviously much more interesting....good bet to go 7. It wasn't just Austin Rivers, Big Baby didn't put up huge numbers but he played a lot of minutes in place of Jordan and looked really solid defensively in the blocks.

Could not agree more.  The NBA, where runs happen.  Plus I hate the term choke, especially in the NBA context.  Teams are constantly making adjustments and rotating their line-ups.

Christ has Howard looked great -- Houston might be a tough out even for the Warriors. Will certainly be favored over either the Clips or Spurs in the 2nd round.

I hate agreeing with you, but dear god, yes. Between this sort of reactionary stupidity and the penis-envy-masquerading-as-"sports-hate" in these parts it's fucking insufferable.

You need the local feed to understand why Pierce "daggered" the Raptors. Dagger is local guy Steve Buckhantz's catch phrase.

Last year, in the blazers series, he also looked incredible. When he is rolling it seems unstoppable. Don't know how many minutes he can play at that level per game.
