Are 1 in 5 American kids really "struggling with hunger"? WTF's up with that.

Oh yeah, this is the NFL version of watching the Rays against the Padres.

he held him the whole time in the end zone
No I meant calling the shove just because the helmet came off, it wasn't egregious.
Edit on Donald if that wasn't clear. It was a nothing push but the helmet came off so they called it.

to be fair it think the grabbing him behind the neck warranted it. really think the shitty tackle and dragging kneet and feed into Gabberts head was borderline as well. Just a pissy way to play

I know this has been the case for a while now since it was switched off of network television, but SNF has far eclipsed MNF as far as getting the marquee game of the week. Look at the schedules for this season and it isn't even close, plus NBC gets to flex late season games around to get better games down the stretch.

This is an all-time great moment in the history of broadcasting; it makes the shitty game completely worth it in my mind.

He runs to the 50! He runs to the 40! The Guy is drunk! But there he goes!
bet the NFL was thrilled that the national radio call included a note that a drunk guy on the field was the most interesting part of the game. I bet Roger was PISSED.

Well, it's been 4 years since the last Giants title...

But I'm just messing with you. The NFC East sucks and I wish we could play them every year.
After that stirring win over the high flying Cowboys, the Giants are well on their way to another Super Bowl title if we factor in the four year plan.

You are right though as the AFC East is pretty bad, as is the AFC South, the NFC South and the NFC East.

The product has become very watered down, which I'm sure the ginger haired stooge is happy about.

All he needs to do is hand out a few more suspensions to players on quality teams.

So, I am admittedly not very smart when it comes to X's and O's of football. Most of what I do know I learn from here or watching some analysis on TV. But is there a simple reason that Josh Norman is not able to cover a different side of the field? I know the Seahawks do the same thing with Sherman (or at least used to). If you're a defense with an elite CB (and one you're paying like a billion dollars), why would you not force him to shadow the other team's best WR, no matter where he is lining up? I'm sure there is some intricacies such as what type of defense you are playing. But Brown just went off last night and it didn't seem like Norman covered him once.

I know it worked for us last SB when we were able to move Edelman around and get him involved. But it seems silly that teams/players would continue to keep CB's on one side of the field.

Covering one side is common if you're team plays a bunch of zone, which Seattle does. Playing one side doesn't make much sense when you're playing man on Antonio Brown, which is what the Skins did last night. The only reason I can think is they wanted the Steelers to think they were in zone and played man, but its just stupid on several levels. They played Breeland on Brown in man coverage with zero safety help a bunch, left Norman off him and he killed them.

Breeland was arguably the absolute goat of the game on the defensive side. Williams ran through or around him multiple times in the second half alone and Antonio put up red headed stepchild numbers on him. Got to the point I almost felt bad for him. He was badly outmatched and his coaches didn't make any adjustments to get him some help.

Pittsburgh was smart about taking their shots, too. The first TD to Brown over Breeland came on 4th-and-1, when Washington was geared up to stop the run, and the second came on 3rd-and-3 when you would expect the short pass. Those are situations where it's tough to give safety help over the top because then you're just basically handing the O the first down.

That makes sense. Thanks.
