I dunno what happened in the 3rd but Abdelkader scored with a broken stick in OT and they counted it. Brutal.

Leafs come back from 2-0 to tie it at three with about a minute to go and then win in OT. Great from the 3rd on.

Not sure if you guys have seen this before, but remember when we were waving goals off because "I intended to blow the whistle"? Well yesterday the Sharks scored a goal when the ref (I forget who it was and I'm too lazy to look it up) lost sight of the puck, blew the whistle, and then it went in. Apparently the league is so desperate to increase scoring that goals after the whistle blows will now count as long as they weren't played after the whistle. I assume deliberate kick-ins will follow.

But in the spirit of McSucking for McDavid I'm all for it.

The Flyers sit 8th but certainly have a shot to pass Jersey and Columbus for 6th.

Bolts are up 4-2 at the Bell Centre. 5 minutes away from the season sweep of the Habs.

West playoff race...LA down 3-1 in Chicago. LA entered the night in 9th trailing Calgary (tied 2-2 in Dallas) by 1 point for 3rd in the Pacific. They are 2 points behind Winnipeg for the 2nd Wild Card. LA is fun, but it'd be great to see playoff hockey in Calgary and Winnipeg again.

And in the great tank off, Arizona hosts Buffalo. Buffalo regulation loss would put them 8 points clear of Arizona and all but lock up the top spot in the lottery and guarantee themselves McDavid or Eichel.

Not on Adrej Meszaros watch.  4G in last two games, he is single-handedly try to keep BUF from a top 2 pick, which would be awesome.

Man I'd sure love to know what their secret is. I mean I know they are statistically the superior team (and by a fair amount) but that's still remarkable.

Pete Blackburn (great Twitter follow) is right there. HOW did that not explode his eyeball?

And that's with a shield too.

Only way I can think of is that the upper skate hit the shield while the lower part rode up his face, with the shield causing the lower blade to go outward instead of over the eye.
