Watching Panthers/Leafs tonight. 2-2 in the 3rd and the Panthers may be out of goalies. Luongo and Montoya both hurt. Referee's on the phone with the war room.

Long delay here. Scottie Upshall and Derek MacKenzie just went down the tunnel and the Panthers broadcast thinks one of them is suiting up. Or Robbie Tallas the goalie coach.

Was wondering why there is such a long injury delay in that game.  Should be interesting.  Are the injuries serious?

Montoya leaves again but comes back. This is pretty wild. Tallon on the bench on a cell phone.

Robbie Tallas is in uniform on the bench now!

Just imagine what his stats would look like if he didn't lose the equivalent of 2 full seasons to lockouts and didn't spend that time in the KHL trying to pay off his gambling debts.

During the 6-2 Sharks win over the Canucks, #19 Jumbo Joe took over sole 19th place all-time in assists with 895. Fellow #19 Trots has 6 more in 18th place.

Sens up 3-0 in Winnipeg. B's need to keep an eye on them. If this score holds they'll be 4 points back and have a game in hand on the B's.

Elsewhere, Colorado plays Pittsburgh. Caron debuting. Playing with Duchene and Iginla.

one nitpick, Ottawa is 4 points back of the Bruins but they do not have a game in hand. They have both played the same amount of games.

Bruins also have a 4 game advantage in ROW over the Sens, which is very helpful come tiebreak time.

Also a 7 game ROW lead on the Panthers too.

Ugh I can't believe its come to being thankful that they have more ROW than the Panthers. Brutal.

The Oilers go up 3-0 in the first 30 minutes (approximately) of their game.

Now they're down 5-3. Hilarious.

You can forget about the Flyers. 4-1 and they look terrible.

NJD wasn't gonna lose in the presence of the 95 Cup team.

Meanwhile, Ottawa held a 4-0 lead heading into the third. Craig Anderson was bombarded in the third, saving 20 of 24 as Calgary forced overtime. The Sens won in a shootout, but that was an ugly end to regulation.

Tampa beats Montreal 1-0 in OT. They move to 1 point back of Montreal for the top spot in the Atlantic.

In a related story, the league should go ahead and just hand Carey Price the Hart and Vezina right now.

Rangers beat the Isles in regulation 2-1.  Hard to see the Rangers not winning the division as good as Talbot has been and they have a pile of games in hand on the Islanders.  So do the Pens for that matter.

NYR and Tampa probably rise to the topnot the East. Rangers are looking better and will have Lundqvist back. 4 games in hand on the Isles. Montreal is a lousy hockey team, Tampa should be able overtake them. Without Price the Habs are probably on the outside looking in.

if this is the case then this is all good news for the Bruins. Still want no part of the Habs in the playoffs.

4-1 Flyers in the 3rd as the trend continues...play well against the Blues/Wings/Kings etc, roll over like dogs against the Devils/Canes/Jackets.

Brayden Schenn scored a goal in the 1st, another in the 2nd, and early in the 3rd completes the hat trick. Hats rain down. As the crew scoops up hundreds of hats they announce that Schenn's earlier goal was tipped in by Wayne Simmonds, so no more hat trick, and everybody's out a hat. And that kind of sums up your 2015 Philadelphia Flyers.

The mucky muck
GJGE by the Wings this week. Had a chance to really cement themselves as a 3 seed, but instead tied a block of cement around their own necks. Just hoping for a wild card berth at this point.

This Rangers - Blackhawks game is pretty damn entertaining, especially for a 1-0 game. These are two damn good hockey teams.

And yes the goalies in this 1-0 battle between two top NHL teams were named Darling and Talbot. Makes me question it it's really worth spending $7M on a goalie, ever. And I love Tuukka.

yea I have been thinking that for years now. While it is possible that a goalie can win the cup for you it is not the case as often anymore. Thomas and Quick in the Kings first year are examples of the goalies carrying teams to cup wins. However, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Chicago twice are examples of the team making a bigger difference than the goalie. I would even say Quick last year, while still good, was not the difference between the Kings winning that cup. That would be 5 of the last 7 years where teams won without top notch stellar goaltending.

Maybe the NHL should stop with so many back to backs and 3 games in 4 nights. We all know how much the B's schedule has sucked this year.
