The kids had a good game, Welsh Pirlo scored again, and Scouse Cafu made his first appearance in well over a year. 3-0 over Exeter, and it's on to the 4th round.

Moreno's challenge on the penalty was beyond stupid. Somewhat impressed they've gotten back into it.

Bassong's header from a corner in minute ~65 or so was the first shot on goal that didn't result in a goal

edit: of course this color guy (who's been brutal) missed that

It's still only 7 AM out here, and I'm wide fucking awake.

That was appalling, silly, crazy, and completely awesome all at once.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to BT Sport: "Unbelievable game. We should always think it is possible, although it was not easy today. We had a lot of problems at the start. There was a bit of searching for confidence but then we played a bit of football and saw what is possible.

"Set plays, set plays, set plays, and the game changed, the opponent got a bit more confident. When I saw five minutes of overtime I couldn't understand why.

"I think we were the deserved winner in a spectacular game. I think it is a new record but we have to solve our problems because this will not always be possible.

"Of course we were lucky, but we were not too lucky when they equalised in overtime. It is very emotional. We are in the middle of the chaos and react, sometimes we know what we are doing, sometimes we don't. The game is enough of a story."

Bizarro World game .. Not sure that the Reds really deserved to win but whatever. All four Norwich goals were a combination of horrendous gaffes (Can and Moreno) , bad centre back play and outstanding strikes by Naismith, Bessong and Mbokani

On a positive note, Firmino is looking like he's breaking out and Lucas had a good game. I can also see why Klopp likes Lallana .. Even if he doesn't contribute on the scoresheet he seems to make a big difference in the pressing game .. Which was non-existent until he came on.

As for the rest of the transfer window .. I don't think they can fix what ails this team (a commanding CB and a striker who is constantly fit AND scores) without paying exhorbitant prices. The potential Teixera acquisition seems tasty but the Ukrainians seem to be very difficult to deal with. And now Chelsea is sniffing around so the price will only go up.

On the other hand there are no dominant teams so the top 4 is still within reach.

So he thought "car salesman" was a more effective way to attract young women than "professional footballer"?

But then again, it seems to have worked.

I think he thought (correctly it seems), the money and gifts were enough. The idea was to keep it under wraps. Which ultimately didn't work.

He played for Arsenal and Man City and plays for Liverpool. How did he think he was ever getting away with anything other than, "I'm a married professional football player and want to have sex with many beautiful women"?

Better, how did this girl and/or her friends not clue in on this a lot earlier? Two years is a long time to be clueless.

Reports today that you guys are closer to a move for Alex Teixeira. I'd be very jealous if it goes through. I think there was a stigma at looking at the Shaktar Brazilians for a while, wondering how good they really are playing in Ukraine. But Douglas Costa has been lighting it up for Bayern and Teixeira is rated just as highly. Could be a huge get.

Yeah I've been trying to temper my expectations on actually completing the signing (especially with the impending Ramires move to China freeing up some money for Chelsea) but he'd be a tremendous get.

Between Teixeira, Firmino, and Coutinho, you could begin to see the false-nine working in the absence of Sturridge/Ings/Origi. I also think Klopp is just paying lip service and that Benteke doesn't fit into his style of play whatsoever - recouping £25m for him in the summer would be welcomed.

Pinning the 96 deaths on Duckenfield will make people feel somewhat better, but it would miss the big picture. Duckenfield should never have been in that position. He was inexperienced and, more importantly, part of a culture that made it OK to treat supporters like cattle.

It's so easy to make the David Duckenfields of the world out as the villains. It's really people like Margaret Thatcher and Douglas Hurd who shoulder the moral blame for what happened at Hillsborough. Criminal indifference flows downhill.

Duckenfield deserves severe consequences for his indifference and the subsequent cover-up. But he's just the tip of the iceberg.

Hot garbage of a missed offside on Arnautović's goal.

Any linesman close to being in position would have seen it
