MLB teams were 314-o when leading by six or more runs in the 8th inning this season.
They are now 314-1, after Jacob Stallings hit a walk off Grand Slam, the 3rd in PNC Park history, and first in 17 years.

It was a crazy pitch from Diaz, way inside and Stallings did a Xander-like job on the ball. In the scorecard though, it's a meltdown from Diaz again (and he did start the inning with a HBP and walk).

I guess I don't feel so bad about sitting at home and watching last night's debacle -- at least I could just flip the TV off. I imagine being a Mets fan who traveled to Pittsburgh this weekend to catch a couple of games.
It's pretty close. The right side of the ball is over the chalk, but does the ball ever actually touch chalk?
I think it was just within the lines or on the line -- see this screenshot I took. (Jcizzle's video below is conclusive.)
That has to be the shortest three run hit ever.
EDIT: Actually, probably not now that I think about it. I could see a catcher picking up a ball a few feet in front of the plate with the bases loaded and fewer than two outs and throwing it past the the 1Bman.

Wow, I know it's high up, but that's nearly a perfect perspective for that play.
It's worth it. It's been more than a decade since I went to a game there, but I really enjoyed it.
Problem is, Pennsylvania is one of the seven states in which he's wanted.
The Blue Jays offense has come out of the break hot. Playing Texas helps too. 10 runs on Friday, took the first game of a DH earlier, and just put up 6 runs in the 1st inning.
Lester also HR'd in the game, oldest pitcher to HR since Bartolo.

I'm not going to vouch for their pitching, especially their bullpen but I'm not sure what you would expect with Trout (56 games missed), Rendon (34 games missed) and Upton (29 games missed) out of the lineup so much.
But that's exactly what I'm talking about. They've paid Upton $86m for 3 wins. They've paid Rendon $36m for 2 wins, and he's going to be 32 next year, almost certainly past his prime, and still signed for 5 more years. Although Trout is a hall-of-famer, he's going to be 30 next year and they've got him signed for the next 8 years. They spend stupid amounts of money and get basically not much for it. Honestly, they should trade Ohtani and Trout for a big haul and reset. They're set to be mediocre for a long, long time.

Ohtani last night 6 IPs, 3 hits, 0 ERs, 1 BB, 8 Ks. Hits 1-4 with a double. Cishek replaces him in the 7th, walks 2 batters in a row, then lets up a 3 run home run. Angels lose 4-1.

The 2-0 to Ruf was a clear ball and called a strike, so turned into a makeup call really on the bad check swing.
