Liverpool showing some real grit by winning despite being forced to lineup around lunch time. Juice boxes and Lunchables for all.

Rodri with the tucked in jersey has a nice 60s look about him today.

That’s a really tough call on Man Utd there. It looked out but without the goal line tech, that’s a rough one to overturn.

Bizarre stretch of reffing in the Spurs/Sheffield match where Peter Banks was like a co-conspirator in the Blades time wasting.

Spurs game has slowed to a crawl due to a bunch of odd and inexplicable referee decisions. Nothing that's really tilted the game, but its just a bizarre game.

It’s tilted a bit in that a choppy slower match is the Blades’ gameplan, but I agree that it’s more weird thanslanted reffing.

Richarlison! Spurs finally score 8 minutes into stoppage time, on their 27th shot, from their 15th corner.

Sheffield United defended really well for most of the game, hard for them to walk away with no points.

Brighton going into Old Trafford expecting to win, being expected to win, and winning. Can’t truly get used to it.

Wasn’t watching this match is the +12 valid? I know we are getting longer durations this year but that’s an extremely long time did someone have a bad injury?

Yes. There were a bunch of weird stoppages in the second half and then a ton of time wasting by Sheffield.

Not to be outdone, Villa and Palace are in the 14th minute of extra time, with Villa scoring twice in extra time to go up 3-1.

I'm sure multiple MLS execs fist pump every time Durán scores a banger.

I think probably the worst thing if you’re a United fan is just how calm Brighton were at the final whistle. Nobody wants to see the inverse either but Brighton looked like they fully expected to win that one

With the anti football time wasting and fake injuries if we actually stopped a clock it might have been 25 minutes.

12 was lenient.

That ref was terrible. Like shockingly bad.

So are fans on SOSH in favor of the new implementation of true added time ( time wasting, VAR , substitutions, I think goal celebrations are being taken into account but maybe I’m wrong) ?

IMO the ref should just be able to control a running clock that is visible in the stadium. Every time someone goes down the clock just stops.. instead of arbitrarily choosing a number that may be close somehow to what the number should be in one man's mind. Feel like second halves are getting extended a ton, but the first half is still getting 'normal' stoppage time numbers of max 4-5 minutes. Would be interested to see what the stats are to see if second halves are indeed getting extended by a lot longer times.

3 minutes in first half of Spurs Sheffield was laughably wee.
Even the 12 in second half was, at best, rational... at worst an under-estimate

Yes, unless the referee is from the northwest of England I guess

The 718
Richarlison has his detractors here, I’m not going to apologize for his shithousery, and hes undeniably been crap for Spurs so far, but I just watched those last few minutes. That’s why Everton fans to a man would run through a wall for him. His passion fueled that comeback. If you put a Richarlison doppelgänger into that game with Richy’s FIFA attributes but who is not a complete wierdo like him, I don’t think it happens. He creates/feeds off the adrenaline of those big lost-cause moments like no one else.

looking back at spurs when he joined vs now, the whole feeling top to bottom under Conte, both on and off the pitch, was so dour, the style of play so conservative if you want to call it that (I remember a sign TO DARE IS TO DO NOTHING), it wasn’t a good environment for Richy to flourish in. Obviously Ange seems to be better for everyone and I don’t know if Richy has a position to call his own now but I think he kicks on now.

Chicago-Bournemouth - can't tell the difference in weather right now
just got a flash flood warning for today. Should be fun!

Good to see the early yellow on Sterling for his “professional” foul to stop the counter. Bournemouth will run if there’s space.
