Nash and Backes did a great job keeping that play alive, leading to Bergy's incredible finish. Those hands.... my goodness.

I’m ecstatic right now but it’s some goddamn BULLSHIT that Marchand couldn’t draw a whistle there.

I don’t want to say good period because it wasn’t all good but any time you walk away with a lead in a game 7 can’t be all bad.

Despite some horrendous dzone play, they're ahead. Hold on to this lead - Toronto can't sag back and protect the house anymore. More opportunities will come.

DeBrusk and Heinen are players. We knew about Pastrnak. I love the future at wing. If we could develop a center to replace Krejci and a young goalie we're all set.

Just be a little more conscientious on D, please. Toronto is really rough when the Bs pressure in the corners and get rough. There will be many more chances, and Andersen lost his horseshoe.

This is where I'm just not knowledgeable enough about hockey. What really constitutes a penalty? Right before they called that first trip on Boston 30 seconds in, a Bruin got tripped to the ice. No call.

Then Marchand gets absolutely mugged in the last seconds of the period, no call. I see guys get taken to the ice, sweaters grabbed, guys upended, and I have no idea what's supposed to be a penalty or not.

Congratulations, you are officially qualified to be an NHL referee. We will send you your contract in overnight mail!

Not sure I’d exactly call that a good period. But they won the period. So it’s is a good period. Now win two more.

McQuaid is gonna McQuaid, but his game doesn't shrink when things get tight. Damning with faint praise, but it is praise.
