Can't they just Skype you in as you watch the game? I mean, we're talking priorities here.Monbo Jumbo said:The event is the "Senior Dinner" for my HS graduating daughter. There's no out, and she deserves my support and presence.
Older daughter has just flown in, and as usual is bringing the drama and will likely try to make it all about her. There's so much that can go wrong.

OK, that's a little different than spending the evening with the ex, even if the ex will be there.
It's awfully buggy (I can't get it to work right on my iPhone 5s with a DirecTV login), but if you have one of the participating cable/satellite providers, you can theoretically watch the game on the NBC Sports LiveExtra app.

Oh my, Monbo I am with you in more ways than you can know. You are doing God's work, and as Joe Dokes said you will be rewarded with good karma. My evening is broken up by somewhat similar circumstances, but smaller time frames. I will have the game on DVR and will be able to catch it in spurts. The things we do for our kids will be rewarded. A Canadiens fan would not make such sacrifices, and they will pay with an embarassing loss.Monbo Jumbo said:The event is the "Senior Dinner" for my HS graduating daughter. You must mean 1.5 miles right? Tripoli Tap is the big one right in Lincoln Park on Armitage. That's where I'll be tonight, they're the only show in town for Boston sports and they're always packed for big games. Great atmosphere.

Just checked with a Chicago friend, he also said Brendan's Pub on N. Broadway is also a Boston bar. No idea how good, but worth a shot.
