CBC has Dickface and Son in a joint interview. So much foreskin, so little screen space.

Happiest for:

1. The diehards
2. Timmay
3. Bergeron
4. Clode

Even though I am only a casual Bruins fan, this, plus the fact that Burrows is crying right now, will keep me from flipping out as Michael Felger becomes even more insufferable.

Congrats to everyone.

Just wow.

Saw the game at Professor Thom's in NYC with TKAA. Very intense. That first goal happened within 30 seconds of Youk's hr.

For the immensely more knowledgeable, where does Timmy rank in Bruins history?
Overall I'd have to say the best I've seen, certainly since Roy in 1986 which stands out in my memory as the best up to this point, though I'm sure statistically there were better than Roy's that year. Hasek in 2002 was brilliant against the sucky Carolina Whalers. Fuhr was also bloody good during the offensive era.

I assume the NHL will allow the exception to put Savard's name on the Cup since he didn't play the required 41 games.

I stayed out of the game thread since before the game because I think that I've been bad luck lately whenever I'm in the thread., but I just want to say how fucking happy I am.

My 7 year-old stayed up for the entire game for the first time all playoffs, I have been writing him notes and slipping them under his door so that he could get the game score for each game as soon as he got up in the morning. But for this game, I wouldn't let him lie down for fear that he'd nod off. I told him that this is much more important than sleep. Between the second and third periods, we practiced passing around and kissing his sister's thick fairy tales book so that he could understand what was going to happen in about 45 minutes or so (he's never seen a Cup celebration before).

My wife said before the third period, "I think he should be in bed, he has school in the morning." I said "are you kidding me? It's times like these that I remember with my dad. I don't remember any single day in the first grade. THIS is what it's all about."

THis is what it's all about!!!!!!!!!! This is fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!

You know, when so much disdain has built up over a series like this, I always thought it counterproductive to burn your own city to the ground when you lose. Don't they realize how happy the opposing fans are to watch them do it?

Thank you Sportscenter:

Boston first city in history to have all four sports teams win a championship in a 7 year span.

Longest drought in Boston? Yup, it's the Pats!

Timmy's the best individual goalie since the Tiny Thompson/Frankie Brimsek days.

Lemelin/Moog was an amazing tandem, but for one Bruins goalie, Thomas' season can't be beat in the last three generations.

I think I'm going to retire and frame my Neely Jersey. Undefeated this year (6-0 at regular season games, 2-0 at playoff games, and 4-0 in viewed games, including 3 game 7s). And replace it with a BRAND FUCKING NEW TIM THOMAS JERSEY

Assume that Savard and Kampfer get special dispensations (IIRC from another thread Kampfer was ~5 games short).

RMPS, it has been an honor and a privilege to experience this run with you. The 2011 Bruins are going down in history as true champions, in every respect of the word. Thank you all for being a part of it., with a passion and a faith that deserved a happy ending.

Speaking of which, AMcGhie better step up with those Weird Science pics.

I'm going to wait a while for my Jack-like missive, but I just want to reach out to guys like T4P, TSC, PSK, goyangfc, cshea, Terras, TheRealness, and all of the rest of the RMPS regulars. You guys are the reason why this forum is what it is. I truly love each and every one of you guys. You are a big reason why my passion for hockey resurfaced a few years ago. I can't thank you enough. All I asked for Christmas this year was Bruins tix. I truly think I saw the turnaround for this group. It was the game at MSG where they lost the big lead in the 3rd period. Worst feeling. This is what makes it all worth it.
