They need to get the wounded back ASAP. Justin Florek and Jordan Caron should not be getting minutes in the playoffs.
Lucic was a total punk. Cross check to the head at the end of the game in the playoffs? Not a match penalty and one game suspension, eh?

About 2-3 seconds after the buzzer. The puck was in the corner and Lucic was digging around there. The buzzer went and Lucic and Glendening's sticks were tied up a bit. As Lucic yanked his stick around, it spun around Glendening and then Lucic went over and cross checked him in the head completely unprovoked.

1st period was a draw maybe the Wings were slightly better. Wings owned the 2nd period. I actually think Boston was better in the 3rd. Just a bunch of shitty bad bounces and a goal I bet Tuuka would admit was kind of soft.

Such bad luck on the Lucic tip. The replay just went again. Howard barely got a piece of it and the puck spun away from the net.
I wouldn't consider that goal soft. Does a great goalie like Rask made that save a decent amount of the time? Sure, but that's why he's elite. Datsyuk masked that shot incredibly well and it went through Hamilton's legs while Abdelkader was crashing toward the net as another distraction.

They weren't, like, eliminated. It was a good game in which shit didn't go there way in a closely contested third period. Dale and Jack love hockey; they're not gonna start playing the funeral bells after that.

Backstrom was suspended for a high cross check (against Peverley) at the end of a 2012 playoff game. Lucic just did the same thing. Between that and the spear, Lucic is certainly deserving of a night off and fine.
That was a shit game were a team that relies on grinding out wins didn't win a puck battle or meaningful face off all night.
