These announcers are awful? Are they pro Montreal?
Sure sounds like it. Trying to downplay that trip hard... Um, he extended out so far with the stick that he lost it after contact...

Really, really glad my school's cable replaced NBCSN with MSG+. And still kept the other MSG+ channel.

The luckiest team going. 13 posts from the Bs a year ago and a gifted elimination game win. Fuck them. Nice game, ref. Who cares if you lose imperial sight of the puck for a fucking millisecond. Use replay on that you idiots.

Give the Habs credit they made the front of the net a war zone. Could not get any rebounds to go, right to the very end. And Price was unbelievable all game.

Ottawa doesn't quit. Impressive effort.

If the Sens didn't fuck around with Hammond early on this series may have been a lot different. The one mistake the Sens made the last 2 months was not recognizing Hammond's run was flukey and unsustainable.

Here
Forgot that the first goal shouldn't have counted. Unbelievable it wasn't even reviewed.

That is an absurd stat, conceptually at least. Would love to see the last teams for that to happen to.

I'm guessing there was at least one season in the 80's where the Oilers never got shut out.

The 1981-82 Oilers were not shut out.
The 1982-83 Oilers were shut out once, in Game 1 of the finals against the Islanders.
The 1983-84 Oilers were shut out once. 11-0 by the Whalers*. Won the Cup.
The 1984-85 Oilers were not shut out. Won the Cup.
The 1985-86 Oilers were shut out twice.
The 1986-87 Oilers were not shut out.  Won the Cup.
The 1987-88 Oilers were shut out twice. Won the Cup.
The 1988-89 Oilers were shut out twice.
The 1989-90 Oilers were shut out once. By the Bruins in the seventh game of the season. Won the Cup.

* The Oilers were 39-9-5, and went on a five game east coast road trip.  It ended with back-to-back games in Boston and Hartford. They lost all five games. Gretzky seems to have been out with a shoulder injury.

This Tampa - Detroit game is great hockey. Detroit with a PP goal to make it 3-1 but now Tampa has the man up.

Kronwall with a launched elbow to Kucherov's face and no call. Then Quincey decks someone by the blue line without the puck and no call.

No idea how neither of those were called. Brutal officiating.

Jesus and Kronwall now with an elbow to Boyle's face. He's clearly targeting the head with his elbow.

About 5 minutes after one of the reasons I gave for rooting for Tampa was that Detroit is sneaky dirty

That's an absolute suspension. Left his feet and elbow/forearm right into Kucherov's head. Kucherov didn't duck or anything, his head was at the same level and Kronwall leapt right into it.

Kronwall usually does it with his ass, which is technically legal at least. This was brutal though.

Still no idea how that wasn't called.
