It's the same fucking narrative with that team every time. Outplayed all night and a gift bounce and a blown call gives them the win. I don't begin to understand it but it makes me mad and sad.

Elliotte Friedman tweeted the Prust hand pass actually hit a stanchion and then Karlsson's face/helmet.  I dunno, it sure looked like Prust's hand to me.

Guy also thought Mark Stone was faking his wrist injury after the Subban slash.

Seems like there are more "scuffles" in this year's playoffs than I can remember in a while.

Also, as much as I have convinced myself that the Bruins would be overmatched against nearly all of these teams, part of me still hates listening to Brickley do any game other than the B's.

And Washington wins it in OT; it's amazing how many OT winners are scored on routine shots.  Just keep throwing pucks at the net and something good is bound to happen.

Have to give those Islander fans credit; they've got that "Lets go Islanders!!" chant down to a science.

So they've got that going for them, which is nice..................

Tom Wilson is not smart - Ovechkin and Backstrom should be on the lookout

Did the hit violate rule 48.1? To me, it should have because Wilson had time to adjust lower on Visnovsky's body. It's a tough call because Visnovsky puts himself in a position with his head definitely lowers as he crouches. The NHL's definition of "avoidable" gives a lot of room for interpretation. There are many big NHL/NFL hits that are similar to this one.

Rule 48.1 declares an illegal check to the head as "a hit resulting in contact with an opponent's head where the head was the main point of contact and such contact to the head was avoidable." A hit is avoidable based upon three criteria:

Whether the player attempted to hit squarely through the opponent's body and the head was not "picked" as a result of poor timing, poor angle of approach or unnecessary extension of the body upward or outward. Second, whether the opponent put himself in a vulnerable position by assuming a posture that made head contact on an otherwise full body check unavoidable. Third, whether the opponent materially changed the position of his body or head immediately prior to or simultaneously with the hit in a way that significantly contributed to the head contact.

You know how we all hated AJP on the Sox?  That's how I feel about having a complete sack of shit like Ben Lovejoy back on the Penguins.  What a god fucking awful disgusting disaster of trade.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Ottawa completes the comeback. Would be fitting the way their run has gone.

It would be glorious to see Montreal lose. I'm not sure there is any team in sports that I hate more. I don't even have the abject hatred for the MFY like I do for the MFC. There is hatred for the MFY, but it's not abject anymore. It's the entitled nature of that team and the fan base. MFY fans have been chastened the past few years. The MFC fans are just brutal.

To see them lose a series where they were up 3-0 and talking Stanley Cup would be legit.
