Forwards are making runs while defenders play with themselves in their own half. They need to make those runs when someone gets space in the midfield.
I think we're going to have problems as long as Dempsey remains a CF. It just doesn't work, especially when we don't have many real wide options so we have to throw other CFs out there.
Concur. Make him the high 10. Woods or ?Zardes or someone else in front in more of a 4-4-2. Akin to him and Jozy in the past.
You see some of the shit teams this group has lost to and it's hard to believe they've played Colombia relatively even tonight and not in one of those 800 headed clearances heroic defending kind of ways
Think Bradley was fine defensively in the first half, been going for the ball too aggressively in the second half and getting burned.
His passing, otoh, has not been good.

If Dempsey has to be out there up front, why not 4-4-2 as a second striker behind Wood? Maybe a diamond since our wide midfield options are limited. I'm not sure there's a formation with Dempsey as CF where he won't get into midfield
Bradley feels like the ultimate competition player. Terrific versus mediocre comp. Get him against a good fast team and he shits himself.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Lalas is so negative but they stood toe to toe with one of the best teams in the world, why am I supposed to be so upset by this?
