I’m not sure today’s game affects UW’s playoff prospects, except maybe seeding — they’re in if they beat Oregon next week and out if they don’t, whether they win this one or not.

Genuine question - you think they get in over a one loss UGA, no loss FSU, or one loss Texas (hypothetically)? I think they should, personally.

Georgia, Michigan, Washington, and Florida State control their destiny.

Question is whether Alabama gets in if they beat Georgia, or if that spot goes to Texas instead.
I guess you can’t put anything past the committee but there’s no way you can do that with Texas beating Alabama.

The moon nearly full that night, it really shouldn't count unless the sky is pitch black. And Bama is Bama and plays in the SEC.

Great trick play on 4th and 1 for Wash- fake handoff to the tailback then a flip to the WR on the end around. Went for big yards.

I seem to remember the John Riggins Redskins doing something similar in the Super Bowl a very long time ago.

Not over undefeated FSU, but over the others.

Curious for the Pats fans - would you rather have Penix or other assuming the top two are gone? I think I'd take Daniels, he seems electric.

That is one of the ballsiest calls I’ve seen in while.
Given that it was on their side of the field, it was insane. If they fall short there the Cougs just get a few firsts and kick an Apple Cup winning FG that also ruins UWs perfect season. Ballsy indeed

It’s moot because they’re gonna kick a Fg and win but they wold have a much worse loss than Texas or Georgia or tOSU (or Alabama)
None of those teams have beaten someone as good as Oregon. I’m not sure why we’d focus on the loss - the PAC-12 is much tougher than the Big 12 or the ACC this year.

He’s thrown two near interceptions and just took a sack you can’t take. Not too sure about him.
The sack was OK. The pocket was nonexistent and he didn’t want to risk a strip.

You always focus on the loss
The loss is what’s unique

it may be tougher but these are committee members, pac-12 is always gonna get screwed if possible

doesnt matter
It’s moot

Credit to Washington for a gutsy play, but it is hard to imagine from a risk reward standpoint you do that if it comes up again.

I love how Penix plays.

However, I’m concerned about how he is after big wins. I’m not sure he’s wired for the NFL.
What do you mean by that? Is he out on socials going nuts partying?

He breaks down to a degree that’s tough to watch. He was a complete mess after Oregon. Just now he buried his head in some tent for 5 minutes, then a security guard had to cover him up and usher him to the locker room.

What a clusterfuck. Fake punt but don’t get the snap off and take a delay. Fire drill on a punt that goes like 20 yards.

Texas deserves in over Oregon. The Tech game and the Alabama road win are far better Oregon’s wins.

This is why I think expansion is better than whining about whatever shitty team makes it in as #12 (looking at you Russillo). There's way more than four teams I'd like to see fight it out this year.
