Black Friday slate seems bigger (more games) than usual

Annual Arkansas and Iowa games getting competition for eyeballs

Conference races:

Big 12
Texas 7-1
Oklahoma State 6-2
Oklahoma 6-2
Kansas State 6-2
Iowa State 5-3
West Virginia 5-3
Texas Tech 5-3

Sounds like Texas and Oklahoma State get in with wins with Oklahoma next in line if someone loses. I've not seen what happens if Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, and Kansas State all lose and we end up with 4-6 teams at 6-3. I think it would still be Oklahoma State though.

American
Tulane 7-0
SMU 7-0
UTSA 7-0

Winner of UTSA-Tulane on Friday is in. SMU in as well with a win over Navy on Saturday. If SMU loses, then we get a UTSA-Tulane rematch in the championship.

Mountain West
UNLV 6-1
Air Force 5-2
Boise State 5-2
SJSU 5-2

Deliciously, we have UNLV vs SJSU and Air Force vs Boise State this weekend. If UNLV wins, the AF-BSU winner will join them in the championship game. If SJSU wins, the AF-BSU winner will finish in a three-way with UNLV and SJSU. It would then move to computer rankings to see who makes the championship game.

Sun Belt East
Coastal Carolina 5-2
Appalachian State 5-2

Ineligible is James Madison at 6-1. Coastal beat Appy earlier in the season, so Appy needs to beat Georgia Southern and for James Madison to beat Coastal. Winner plays Troy in the championship.

This may be the one game this season I watch from kickoff to final whistle, though I'd be fine with a Green Wave blowout and a free late afternoon/"prevening". Roll Wave, Roll!

Russillo really trying to sell that FSU should be out of the playoff even if undefeated (which is no guarantee). Second time he pissed me off this year and this one might be worse than when he said he was out on Tatum a few years ago.

Their entire offense is based on the QBs legs. If they win out they deserve it, but I really don't see them doing that anymore.

Not this year. He was running way less

Season Pass yards 2755
Season Rush yards 176

Of course if the lose they are out but that isn’t what Vinyid Charlie was selling

It's still all RPO plays though, isn't it? So the threat is part of the system.

All that said, their backup QB supposedly is quite good.

FSU scheduled LSU out of conference. Fuck outta here with anything else unless team XYZ did the same thing (no other equivalent unbeaten team did).

I haven't listened yet, but he's beyond biased by recent year pedigree. It's a bizarre infatuation that I don't understand put against his takes otherwise.

Washington jumped over Florida State to #4 in CFP rankings.
That’s fine. I don’t care right now how the undefeated are ranked. My gripe is drama crafters saying if FSU goes undefeated that various one loss teams should be in over them. We could easily blow at UF and then Louisville.

What have OSU or Michigan done this year to be ranked over FSU? OSU I can see the ND win, fine, but Michigan hasn't played anyone.

ND is not better than Clemson so nothing really. It’s not that I think FSU should be 5 it’s that I’m not that excited about it and I don’t think it matters as OSU/Michigan will take one of them out.

Well after this week OSU and Michigan will have each played someone better than anyone FSU has played, and one of them will also lose, so all of this is moot.

Interesting that the CFP has ranked Liberty at #25. The NY6 G5 spot is obviously going to Tulane if they win out, but with UTSA + the AAC Championship, that's far from a given. Would they have 2-loss SMU jump an undefeated Liberty? Probably not if they're ranking Liberty today.

NMSU is now America's Team.

High chance of multiple pick 6’s, I’d take the over (if I was a gambler which I’m not)

Having the only two games with playoff implications on at the same time tonight truly sucks

Not so Purdy there.

And then they were gonna kick the FG but the Kicker didn't go out in time

Oh no... Neb punts instead and downed at the 1. But no flag for the guy that touched it first cuz he went OOB?

I’m not seeing any of this and have the game on: did you catch that live?

I like Rhule as a program builder but he is playing so afraid to lose that he cannot win. Made sense with the previous QB who absolutely sucked but could run a little. Purdy is decent enough to let him throw a little.

OMG, what a bad idea to throw there. The penalty probably makes it moot, but still.

Now Neb has to take a timeout because the playclock was near 0. That's a big timeout.
