That’s on the QB. Gotta handle a knee-high snap.

Nice first down for Oklahoma State, but inexcusable to snap that with 13 seconds left on the play clock.

Unreal America
It delights me to see any team that is fleeing to the SEC or B1G to lose their rivalry game against a school staying behind.

Eat it, OU.

What a coaching job this season by Gundy. They looked dead in the water early. Lost to South Alabama by 26! Texas is lucky they don't have to play them. In the regular season, at least.

Caleb isn’t going to get away with the options in the NFL (to my eyes). He’s college athletic, not NFL. Similar to Mahomes, he’ll need to get yards on the ground via scrambles.

Is Alex Grinch the worst coach in college football or can no defensive coach succeed with Riley? Maybe yes to both?

I was listening to someone on, I think it was Russillo, talking about how the D doesn’t really get to practice because of the way Riley has the 1s against the offense. I don’t remember exactly what he was saying but it pointed more to the “no d coach can succeed” angle.

Why did Mizzou give up and not use their 3 to’s with 1:35 left
Not a lot of time and 2 scores but don’t give up

LOL that is insane.

Does Iowa use its starting offense as the scout team? That would explain a lot.
So it was Bruce Feldman on Russillo and references a story he did about D coordinators in air raid systems where one of them says they don’t even have time to get lined up right in practice and they are always getting shelled.

Edit: here is the story, I didn’t read it yet

What is life like as an Air Raid defensive coordinator in college football? Let them tell you

Williams should sit the rest of the year. Why risk it all for Lincoln Riley when he didn't do shit to improve the defensive unit?

That should've been a penalty on the OSU safety and a first and goal for Rutgers instead of a pick 6. I'd be furious if I was a Rutgers fan.

Edit: no matter what Steratore says.
What would the foul be? In college it’s targeting or nothing

Arizona is probably one of the top 20 teams in the country. Just beat its 3rd ranked team in 3 weeks. Its 3 losses. 2 in OT on the road, 2 by.1 TD against the #5 team in the country.

Agree the end zone view is the only angle even worth considering.

Targeting requires intent to take aim and punish. For me, there an initial launch but the defender tries to spin away from making severe contact. The contact to the receivers head also primarily appears to be from the chest, the rule requires contact to come from the defenders head/arm (shoulder included).

It just doesn't seem like flagrant enough contact to require a disqualification.
