This Florida State vs Louisville game is the worst thing I have ever seen. Around 35 combined yards after the first quarter. 4 of those belong to Florida State.

SMU would dominate both these teams.

My thought about how this game will go is that Michigan is going to score points from time to time, here and there, and Iowa isn’t. Which leads me to think Michigan will have some points at the end and Iowa will have few or none points.

So it you’re one of those people that thinks number of points at the end of the game should matter, I think Michigan will be in better shape than Iowa. Don’t mean to go all “next level,” but that’s just how I see it right now.

What happens if Florida State wins this game 9-0? Do they still get into the playoff? I can’t see it.
Tate will be back for the playoff so margin of victory with a Freshman shouldn’t really matter but who is to say they will even win 9-0

At one point this week on Draft Kings the o/u for Iowa points, for each half, was 0.5

Iowa actually got the ball in Michigan territory due to a bad punt bounce. But they immediately fumbled it away.

And I’ve seen more talented offenses in middle school games than this ACC disaster.

Iowa points scored on offense versus points given up by Iowa’s offense to Michigan’s defense would be an interesting bet.

Florida St. barely beat BC. That alone should disqualify them from the Final 4
Michigan barely beat Maryland
Washington barely beat their entire schedule
Texas barely beat Houston
Alabama barely beat USF

What's the point?

McCarthy looks really good tonight actually. I’d absolutely love him with pick 34-35 but doubt he lasts that long.

Probably not a second round guy, but might be had with a trade up into the 20s. I like his game too and it seems like he could go off in the right system.

From what I can tell McCarthy is extracting close to the maximum out of some pretty mediocre teammates. No idea what he’d be like with guys who can stretch the field.

Not sure UM or OSU fans would like it, but I’d love to see JJ throwing to MHJ here for the next decade.

Russillo harps on the stupidity of the future debate between the 12 and 13-15th ranked teams, but I'd much rather see the top 8 in this playoff than be concerned about that debate.

Good point by Booger about the eye test. Vegas fucked it up, who says the committee is any better about determining the best teams? Let the records and schedules stand for themselves.

I prefer to think the Dr. Pepper winner is referring to the Boston Bruins. Fuck the Leafs!

$100k of tuition coverage is pretty damn nice to participate in a soda sponsored punt, pass and kick competition. $20k for the runner up isn't insignificant either.

Let's say Michigan and FSU win. Michigan would be in. Washington is in. Then it's two of Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, and Florida State.

Case for Georgia: #1 team the last three seasons, was the best in the nation this year until a 3-point loss to Alabama. But ouch - that last loss was kinda huge.

Case for Alabama: 12-1 and just beat the #1 team in the country. Winners of the SEC. But ouch - lost to Texas earlier in the year and has been ranked behind other teams in the mix almost all season long.

Case for Texas: 12-1 and conference champs, AND they beat Alabama. Only loss was a close loss to Oklahoma. But ouch - losing to Oklahoma and they're just not in the SEC.

Case for Ohio State: 11-1 and a top 5 team all year long. But ouch - lost to Michigan and didn't win their conference.

Case for FSU: 13-0 and winners of the ACC, doing so without their top 2 QBs. But ouch - they look terrible and clearly are not the same without their top QBs and they play in a weaker conference.

Good luck sorting all this out.

And what is the SECs best out of conference win? I legit couldn't even find a mediocre one out of their top 6 teams
This is actually an easy one. It's Mississippi State beating Arizona before they got their shit together by starting Fifita. Ole Miss beating Tulane is up there too but they didn't have their starting QB.

Why even punt against Iowa. The offense is just so putrid.
