    Wagner deal I get. This deal makes no sense to me. I guess they think he can be a much better player than he has been the last 2 years.

    They have now spent about 8 million, and still don't have a 3rd line Center. Still don't have a 2nd line RW.

    They lost Schaller and are likely losing Riley Nash. I think Wagner and Nordstrom are an attempt at replacing the PK minutes they’re losing with Schaller and Nash. $2.25 combined AAV isn’t terrible. They can bury Nordstrom in the AHL if it doesn’t work out.

    I understand this move, but don't know about the term. Hopefully he can be a contributer on the PK and be good at it, as otherwise I would have preferred to retain Schaller given the small difference in salaries.
