The only thing I can think is he confused only one TV timeout (first non-icing stoppage after 10 minutes played) with a need to change ends as with outdoor games.
It’s über douchey, but he is actually knowledgable: he runs a referee assignor business for youth sports in the DC area and it’s apparently lucrative enough to have evolved from a side gig into a legit business."I am a subject matter expert in sports officiating." Wow, that sounds impressive. Which Stanley Cup Final did he ref? Or was it a Super Bowl?
Next time I play tenbis, I know who to call. It’s über douchey, but he is actually knowledgable: he runs a referee assignor business for youth sports in the DC area and it’s apparently lucrative enough to have evolved from a side gig into a legit business.
But still—the lack of self-awareness necessary to make that comment...
"So you're a subject matter expert in scheduling adults to show up at fields?"It’s über douchey, but he is actually knowledgable: he runs a referee assignor business for youth sports in the DC area and it’s apparently lucrative enough to have evolved from a side gig into a legit business.
He must've been furious when the Capitals signed that thug Henrik Lundqvist.Oooohweee, I've got some salty Caps fans on my Facebook today (spoilered for length):
I’ve been putting my NHL.tv account to use to avoid dealing with the NBC crew. Were they saying all this during the Jets-Oilers intermission? What a dominant performance. CBC announcers went from game 1 "Ovie for president!" to "WTF is wrong with Caps being so predicatable on Pp" and "Pasta is a goal scorer that makes teammates better"
I think the training staff is going to be working overtime to get either Zboril or Lauzon back on the ice for Game 5.I’ve been putting my NHL.tv account to use to avoid dealing with the NBC crew. Were they saying all this during the Jets-Oilers intermission?
On a somber note, Miller’s likely done for a while, so let’s all gear up for the (probable) Jarred Tinordi Playoff Experience.
Are you asking this guy about the Miller hit today? More or less thuggish than a punch to the ribs?Oooohweee, I've got some salty Caps fans on my Facebook today (spoilered for length):
I’d prefer Kampfer too but it looks like Butch has other plans (that, unfortunately, don’t include Zboril or Lauzon).I imagine that they would play Kampfer over Tinordi given that Kampfer has a right-handed shot.

I came here to post this, but you beat me to it. The one pertinent additional bit of info I can add is that Cassidy said that Vaak and Tinordi are “the only two healthy D available.”I’d prefer Kampfer too but it looks like Butch has other plans (that, unfortunately, don’t include Zboril or Lauzon).

Mantha fined $5,000 forgetting lost on the icerunning Tuukka.
If I cared enough to read his answer, I might. Are you asking this guy about the Miller hit today? More or less thuggish than a punch to the ribs?
Exactly. I would think that it has to be Tinordi.Cassidy played Tinordi over Vaakanainen in the regular season. I doubt he would reverse course in the playoffs.
That’s why you have itJesus. That D depth disappeared real quickly.
That helps explain the chatter that Kampfer has already signed with a KHL team.Cassidy confirms its Tinordi in tonight. Kampfer is out for the playoffs due to an arm injury.
