Yet the fucking announcer kept blaming it on Jones even though it was clearly obvious the ref was holding up play.

Ohio State isn't just keeping this close, they are pretty much dominating this game.  They have 348 yards of total offense to Bama's 140.  They have 18:17 TOP to 11:43.  Except for those turnovers and two red zone trips that they only got field goals on, this game has been all Buckeyes.

The ref was holding up the play because tOSU substituted, and even in college the D has to be given a limited chance to counter that. Blame the coaching staff.

I agree, but it had nothing to do with Jones and the announcer kept saying he wasted time.

This broadcast had been terrible so far. Missed yardages, wrong analysis, etc.

Yep, and the fact that Meyer clearly isn't comfortable with this QB going up tempo is why they are not leading this game.

This is a coaching battle. And Meyer is currently out-coaching Saban. Meyer appears to have marginally less size and speed (except at QB - that dude is fucking huge), but is making all the right moves. Saban is indeed shaken. Great game so far.

Yeah, he hasn't been letting him challenge the secondary either. Imagine where they'd be if they challenged that Bama secondary consistently from the outset.
