Agree 100%. What would be the estimated time of leave for something like this? A month? Two? A little jarring thinking about the suddenness of it all. Tito Francona is a similar comp from last year in terms of a somewhat unexpected non-COVID medical absence.Best wishes and a speedy recovery to him.

Yep:My 80 year old mom was in a hospital for 2 days for her pacemaker implant. And back managing theYankeeshousehold in under a week
Sorry, but the judges were looking for Don "Fullpack" StanhouseChapman caused all this. I had triple-bypass after one of his outings.
Did Stanhouse smoke while he was pitching? Earl went through one cig per batter when Stanhouse came in.Sorry, but the judges were looking for Don "Fullpack" Stanhouse
Earl went thru a full pack during a Stanhouse outing. Earl also had some unfriendly comments about DonDid Stanhouse smoke while he was pitching? Earl went through one cig per batter when Stanhouse came in.
I miss smoking in baseball dugouts.
Same here for my wife's Grandmother, and that was 12+ years ago. Over 80, obese with a laundry list of comorbidities, but it was pretty much easier than an appendectomy or tonsillectomy. My 80 year old mom was in a hospital for 2 days for her pacemaker implant. Except for that effin homerun, of course. There was nothing reasonable or good about that. The Sox have announced the installation of dugout microwave ovens.
Seriously, though, hope he sails through this as well as the folks discussed above. He seems like reasonably good people.
Terry Francona has had serious health issues for nearly 20 years. Modern medicine is so much better for people with heart and circulatory issues but it only takes one blockage at the wrong time, in the wrong place, and the doctors can’t help you. Fortunately, guys like Francona and Boone are around trainers and doctors every day.He also had heart surgery in 09. I think that's the year after he retired. Hope he gets well, but he better take care of himself. Only 47.
