Through 2 innings, Salem is 3-6 with a walk & has no runs...

They've had a lineout double play & 2 guys thrown out trying to stretch singles into doubles.

6. Feels like they should have more actual starters & need to rely less on organizational filler, but I guess it's a process.

Sterling Sharp has been good organizational from time to time, including today.

He has pitched 7 innings & allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, 0 walks & 7 strikeouts. I assume he's done after 99 pitches (68 strikes), but I guess there's no guarantee.

Box score says DiValerio allowed 7 earned runs in 1.2 innings, but I'm pretty sure only 2 of them are actually earned if the notation that the 2nd hitter reached on a Max Ferguson throwing error is correct (if he just advanced on it, they'd all be earned).

Either way, not a great start. Robert Kwiatkowski got the last out of the inning.

Lol, speaking of box scores lying to me, now it says that Wyatt Olds pitched the 7th.

The last inning & strikeout were apparently Olds's.

So 2 runs in 6 innings with 6 k's for Sharp, & 88 pitches. Still not bad.

Meidroth got a hit in the bottom of the 8th & is now 3-3 with a walk.

They didn't score, though, & Jacob Webb is on for the 9th in a 3-3 game.

Late to this but Brannon was put on the 60 day IL yesterday so he’s likely out for the season.
